GenX has completely changed the narrative of what 50 is. We don’t look like our moms or grandmas. We are young at heart and want to look like we feel. I’ll never cut my hair.
  • @darlal2698
FINALLY! A stylist that doesn't preach short cuts for women over 50..Thank you
  • @tammym3661
I just want to say THANK YOU for not portraying hairstyles for over 50, as if they were a 80 year old!!! I have seen so many videos like that! So many ladies look fabulous over 50!!
  • @paris1934
Yes! Finally an expert that doesn’t neglect “older” women. Thank you.
  • I totally agree with your video. I have been cutting my own hair since I was a teen and now at 56... I have discovered that I can totally still enjoy my long hair. It is very thick and even though I also color it, it is extremely healthy. Very long, layers, bangs and styled curls or waves depending on my mood. Loving it!!!❤

I would love to see more videos with curly/wavy hair. There are so many of us and until recently, I kept thinking I had “frizzy hair” only to find out it is wavy and have been fighting my hair and getting the completely wrong hair cuts as well as not putting in the correct product (and amount). Most videos are for those with straight or “controlled” hair when that is not representative to a big chunk of us. But love your videos and lots of amazing tips. Thanks a bunch :)
  • I’ve done everything Justin has suggested a woman my age do. I stopped highlighting my hair, I went to a darker color, I cut my hair into layers, and I wear bangs. Everyone tells me I look great and so much younger! Justin knows what he is talking about!
  • I would really appreciate a video on HOW to style bangs. They always look super cute when I leave the hair stylist but I have a hard time achieving the same look when at home.
  • 63 here. I loved this video and your recommendations! So many others say to keep our hair shorter rather than longer. So THANK YOU! And I hope you didn't let those trees get the best of you! ;)

I cut my fringe a bit shorter and WOW, what a difference. I’m 53 with long hair that is often in updo’s. The fringe added that needed touch of “something” and my husband said it brings out my eyes.
  • I've had bangs since I was little...wouldn't know own what to do without them!
  • Wow, those ladies with very long curly hair 😍so beautiful! I’ve recently got my hair cut and added bangs…sadly I didn’t know my bangs will curl, wave and bend as much as they do! They literally have a mind of their own 😂 Although I’m told that bangs make me look younger, I’m not committed to making them look good and styling them every day. Needless to say I’m growing out my bangs 😆😬

Ironically, this is exactly what I have done (#4) to my hair (well, really my hairdresser did it!) and I love it! It really represents my true style. I used to have a lot of hair, but being on immunosuppressants has resulted in hair loss, so the layering has given me the appearance of having more hair than I do.
  • @jamievaduva1708
Yes yes! I agree, I have a ton of layers on my thick wavy, curly hair that probably wouldn’t work so well if my hair was straight. It also encourages curl (I’m not super coily , more loose curls mixed with waves) and I love volume so the layers kinda help me bring volume and width right to where I want it. It’s kinda the only hairstyle I can do although I just recently cut off about 5 inches in length and made it just touch my shoulders. Love your videos and I love how you use your beautiful wife as a model. 🥰
  • @amyf5240
I am 52 and needed a tip for my mid back length curly/wavy hair. Thank you! Thanks for making me feel like I'm still relevant, as opposed to "over the hill"
