The good and bad news about our wedding

The idea that corporate offered you "A list of other venues" that would accept you is insulting. It recalls the days of 'Green Book" with Black people needing a special list of places to stay...."oh we'll be soooo helpful to recommend places that aren't bigots".

Bravo to Hilton for making a bold statement of equality and a brilliant PR move. Shame on Marriott/Sheraton for their lack of understanding of how wrong their property was. Have a great wedding and a happy life together!

I’ve never been so excited about a stranger’s wedding before in my life. I’m sure it will be gorgeous. So happy that this worked out so well for you! Hilton LAX hosts the DomCon Los Angeles Convention yearly, which is a kinky eye opener for some of their guests; lots of leather, latex and wild outfits. I have always been grateful for their willingness to host us! Yay, Hilton!!

I suspect some suits behind a desk at a Corporate Marriott and/or Sheraton office are having a really unpleasant time. And so they should.

To me Sheraton is canceled. You 2 deserve the best. Your wedding will be magical and you will be very happy.

Wow! I live in Puerto Vallarta, can’t believe Sheraton did this, they do stupid pet marriages, YES! They get two dogs 🐶 married! But they couldn’t do your wedding ceremony? Omfg! I usted to work for Hilton, the wedding and group coordinators are GREAT! Congratulations!!!!!

As a Marriott Silver Elite member in a same sex marriage for over 20 years, this seriously makes both myself and my company question why there has been no response from Marriot versus the disclaimer "Oh we're very sorry, we'll find you another venue???? So now we have Marriott corporation dictating where people can celebrate life events or spend their vacation time based upon sexual orientation? Time to re-evaluate where we book our corporate travel or personal travel stays...this is just one more example of intolerance and bias tolerated by a management structure that allows this into their corporate culture. Perhaps Arne Sorenson should heed his own advice from last year's Skift Global Forum and I quote... Sorenson: We think loyalty is a really big deal and a huge part of our future strategy. I think on one level, you’ve got to start by saying the product and service experience at each individual hotel must continue to be very strong.

Well hopefully you too the workers giving you a free wedding well instead of your typical despicable ways
