Even at 49 this music just hits differently than everything else. Nostalgia hitting hard. I miss the days when music channels actually played music.

I remember when my mum agreed to have a satellite dish on our house here in the UK. We were late adopters due to the cost. But I remember vividly when the guy that installed it switched on MTV. It was the pan European channel from the early 90s. It opened me to the new euro pop, dance music that we rarely heard here in the uk. I become a fan of lots of the German and Italian dance tracks, captain Hollywood, Culture Beat , Dr Alban, etc. Who remembers Ray Cokes and his daily early evening show? Most wanted? Takes me back to good times. Davina McCall was first on MtV

Oh my God I am definitely a 90s child. I grew up watching MTV and back then, ALL genres of music have been played. Pop, soul, rock, R&B...

MTV was always my go to channel, I was so excited for it when I got a satellite dish in 1993, the channel had real personality with all the Vj's presenting the shows, really used to love the themed weekends focusing on 1 particular band or singer the whole vibe of it was awesome. I Cannot believe how rubbish it is now.

I wish MTV was still like this. Reminds me of the times with my daughter (1995) back and forth to lessons, school at home. Im an electronic MTV 80's parent. I am thankful I exposed her to all the great music! Not much good music today sadly.

MTV Europe was a really special channel. It created this sense of cross-continental interconnectedness and made me wonder about the people across Europe who were also tuning in, I got to see some of the music and culture they had which I would never have been exposed to otherwise.
