What would you do if you had to put yourself in the position of an east coast man?

After watching this video, the UK parliament has banned all cutting boards.

UK self defence laws basically boils down to, there needs to be a good reason for carrying that tool if you end up using it. On an.unrelated matter, my car will always have an extendable wheel wrench in it. You never know when you'll get a flat!

If you’re going to carry a bag then make it a small crossbody pouch. Put it on over your shirt and under your jacket. Leave your jacket partly zipped. This makes the items inside accessible, but the bag is concealed and the strap cannot be grabbed and used to pull you down.

Nobody seems to remember a sling when these kinds of things come up. Some rope, nylon fabric, and large gravel or the like. Pracitce throwing with it. You can sling a heavy projectile pretty fast and pretty far.

It's about time you finally picked up your dream of writing Hollywood scripts! This new script-writing career of yours is bound to take off if you work at it. Keep it up, young author! There are so many subjects to pitch for movies and TV shows, why not explore them all!

Just as a point of interest, there are around 500,000 shotgun certificate holders and 160,000 firearms license holders, with roughly 600,000 fire arms and 1.4M shotguns in private ownership in the UK, handguns are very highly restricted. Civil war, unlikely, civil unrest, definitely, but it will be so polite!

I knew a medic in the Army, who always carried tampons and thick maxi pads, in his medic bag. The tampons were shoved into bullet holes to reduce bleeding, and maxi pads were used for blood absorbent pads for larger wounds.
  • For any UK proho enthusiast, look into the movie "28 days later" yes it's zombies, but it's also about being outnumbered and trying to survive without being injured and using ingenuity.

Something to consider for knife attacks is. Often there is no warning. Some people dont even realise they have been stabbed until the adrenaline wears off. Its not like most self defence demos where they wave a knife around threatening you. They keep it hidden. Then suddenly rush in. Also seems like there are a lot of people about with machetes in the UK. Which is far more obvious.  I think some kind of protection on your forearms might be the best defence. I dont know for sure, that's just my thoughts on that one. Running away is probably a better idea, but if your forced to defend yourself
  • I am an English man / husband / father. We lack the vast amount of arms you guys have but we aren’t totally armless, well my uncle is he lost his right arm in the pto on his tractor

Being an Englishman, watching this I felt like I was the main punching bag at a comedy roast with my buddies.

I was walking around San Francisco and I saw a Homeless dude who built himself a whole battle suit made from cardboard, newspaper, and duck tape. Was unreal, even made a helmet and was going to war with another homeless man with a baseball bat.

Porcelain tile, reinforced with steel mesh wire, high strength construction adhesive, wrapped in layers of denim, gorilla tape, and spray on rubber. Has stopped every common pistol projectile I've tried. To defeat 5.56 you need to double up the porcelain, but that becomes very heavy.
