making stormtroopers terrifying and somewhat inhuman comparatively to other imperials is a really cool part of star wars lore. i mean, these were the elites of the empire, and significant threats.

Stormtroopers In-universe: dangerous and formidable elite soldiers of the Empire Stormtroopers In-Memes: they suck and always miss their shots

No joke something I actually would love to see Andor Season 2 take on is showing us what capturing a storm trooper actually looks like. Like the interrogation of one even with their helmet off, I want to see what that would look like through Andor levels of writing.

Gregor: "These new troopers, our replacements, come from all over the galaxy and swear loyalty to the Empire. They're not as skilled but there's endless supply of them." Hunter: "Numbers aren't everything."

"My name is carl" really got me

So, that’s why General Syndulla and her guards did not hesitate to aim their blasters at Ezra posing as a defecting stormtrooper when he landed into the hanger.

Funny enough with all the imperial regulation behind stormtroopers. Stormtroopers could still tell each other apart from their movement and such. Wished we had more stories about the imperial stormtrooper core. Imperial infantry stories were always my favorite since we always hear about the rebel perspective but rarely the troopers. Like reading Eli experience with Thrawn’s death troopers was a fun read.

I completely disagree with the Jango Clones being ideal for Palpatine's Stormtroopers. Jango's clones were trained to kill force users from infancy and were infamous for their willpower against force users. Sideous couldn't risk a million mandalorian battlemasters breaking free of their programming. Mandalorians hate the Sith more than they hate the Jedi.

Lots of love and respect to Allen, but I feel like this Carl guy just really gets it. A real breath of fresh air for the channel.

The kind of fanaticism needed for the fake rebel escape in Episode IV is pretty intense.

0:03 "LIAR!"

Can you cover Star Wars: Bounty Hunter lore? It's pretty great that Jango's rival for becoming the Clone army template is voiced by Clancy Brown AKA Mr. Krabs. That would be crazy alternate universe theory.

Ah, yes, the empire making sure people are uniform in size and shape but yet not making doorways to accommodate said size to keep them from hitting their heads.

"Donning sleek, white armor, Stormtroopers are elite shock troops fanatically loyal to the Empire and impossible to sway from the Imperial cause." -Standard lore blurb about Stormtroopers on the box of a Stormtrooper action figure.

The only time they do, they get eaten.

Allan is a travelling man. Now he's in Blade Runner LA.
-
Hey, Carl. Do you think the action at the Aldanii Suppository lead to more Imperial Defecation?
-
Brutal and inhuman and at the same time terrifying and efficient. Believe it or not, sometimes the only way is forward. It's just a shame that Disney never shows any of this and often just portrays them as stupid.

I love your content, but please don't use AI for your thumbnails. Pay an actual artist instead of stealing from them, use a stock image, or just do some intentionally shitty photoshop that is funny.

Wait, I was just starting to understand, I thought he was Alan. Now he’s Carl??? Then he was Alan again.
