We can all use more light in our workshop, garage or working outside. Let's unbox and review the Braun detachable LED floodlights from Harbor Freight and see how well they work. Providing 18,000 lumens, detachable stand, 5K color and a vertical stand that goes from 33" to 75", it looks like a winner, but is it?

    this is awesome,my neighbor thought it would be a good idea to put up some 30k lumen floodllights and this was my answer to that

    Manufacturers tend to overdrive LED lighting so it will burn out and they can sell more. If 17,000 lumen suffices, you can increase the LED element lifetime by 50x or so by increasing the sense resistance 30% or so. The stand is a bit too fragile for a construction site, but amateur use and care might keep it around for a lifetime.
