The fact that they had a laser Karl Gerat "mortar" (it's no longer a mortar at this point, it's a laser cannon looks like Karl Gerat) is what made me question "WTF is with the UN in this universe?"

I love how without scenes of the angel fighting back it just looks like hes standing there all confused while the army wails away on him. "Ow, quit it. Knock it out. Why are you doing this?"
