Anyone else think I should do a full history dive on them? Also, if you guys like 311, I've done a few stories on them before Their Fight with Scott Stop of Creed Fame https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fbS3um-bdU&t=257s&pp=ygUJMzExIGNyZWVk Their collaboration with NBA player Shaq https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uur2JlOjOaA&pp=ygUIMzExIHNoYXE%3D

These guys HAVE to be given a lifetime survival award.

I feel like there should be a part 2 to this video.

311 is one of those bands that is totally unique. They don't sound like anyone else, and don't fit into any category. That's what makes them good. I spent many substance fueled evenings listening to 311 back in the day, lol.

I met Nick in '98, as a passenger in my taxi! We hit it off and he started calling for me personally. He lived up in Laurel Canyon next to Sherman Hensley and had some great tea about that dude! đ Nick is a very lovely guy, so sweet and always tipped well! Time has been good to them, 311 look fantastic over 20 years later.

Started listening to 311 when I was 12 or 13 years old... I'll be 40 next month. Good times man. âđ
-
So happy to see a 311 video
-
It's finally time to investigate 311
-
Soundsystem is a near perfect album. Fuckin love 311, after high school I almost started a 311 cover band called Re-Eleven lmao
-
Chad Sexton was the 1st drummer I can remember using marching heads on his snare and I think its one of the defining elements to their âsoundâ đ„
-
311 was my first concert. Incubus was the opening act. A couple years later I saw the two of them again but this time 311 was the opening act.
-
I highly recommend their album âtransistorâ a great listen.
-
I was literally listening to 311 when I ran into this video! âTransistorâ is a masterpiece of an album. Love that theyâre still out there killing it

He invited us on the tour bus that was parked out front of the club . We git skoked out talked , laughed had a great time . The band and the crew were all really nice . One of the best times of my life.

I saw 311 back in '91 opening up for the Smashing Pumpkins! RIP Ranch Bowl.

Back in like 1998 in college me and a couple of friends that were big fans had the bright idea one night to try to get Nick on the phone. We searched for anyone with the last name of Hexum in Omaha and only came up with one result and called. Nick was not there (unsurprisingly) but we talked with his mom for a couple of minutes and she was super nice, way nicer than anyone getting randomly called should be. I finally got to meet the whole band many years later when I was working for a radio station. I mentioned the story to Nick and he said that he remembered his mom telling him about the call. Nick and all of the rest of the guys were some of the most down to earth, chill people I've met in the business.

A criminally underrated all-time great band, misunderstood by the masses, but loved by the grassroot Excitables. Great live performers and unexpectedly one of the heaviest bands I've ever seen live. Their new song "You're Gonna Get It" rocks.
-
311 is my all time favorite band. Iâll be seeing them for the 15th time this Saturday in Cincinnati
-
311 was my first concert in Sep. 1997 - Lakeland Florida. I've seen them 12 or 13 times- life long fan here!! đđœ
