It was a very hot Monday, but I felt this was my first real day in Rome even though it was actually day 3. Why? Because I had a scheduled tour of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. I usually don't like guided tours; they rush you through the venue and I feel cheated of the full experience. But our guide Lorenzo was very knowledgeable and he gave full explanations of the monuments and temples we did visit in the Forum. Our tour of the Colosseum? Even better!
