This was the best misdirect in movie history. They planted the Captain America flag into your head since the moment Deadpool arrived at the TVA through all the TV monitors and Deadpool's worship of Capt. leading up to this very moment.

0:10 I love the detail of Deadpool being lost when he thinks " Captian America " is saying , " Dick for brains " because it doesn't sound like Steve at all .... In hindsight this line already gives away who the character really is ......

When Deadpool was in the tva looking at all the screens of the avengers etc, every screen pretty much showed captain america, making us subconsciously think (when Chris Evans showed up) that we’re seeing Cap was an amazing fake out to suddenly be the human torch. It was very well done
