"Not news I wanted to hear", Exactly the words I said at my last check up after losing a chunk of my shoulder to skin cancer...You are doing a service to our community. Stay strong, this too shall pass.
  • Hopefully they can get everything worked out with the Mohs. Glad that you are in good spirits and ready to take this on. Praying for you.

Oh my goodness your grandson is gorgeous! I was very very sorry to hear that your biopsy came back positive. My prayers are with you and your surgery and I wasn't aware that he had previous mohs surgery! I also have frontal hair loss and thinning throughout my head and I have my appointment with a dermatologist in a week. I'm glad to hear you're getting testing before using drugs to treat it. I will be requesting blood work also. And also after listening to your video I think I'll get my hormonal blood work done with the rest of my biannual blood work. And Amen on what you said. We may not like the path that we're given but we're not walking alone on that path! 🙏

Please please please ask your dermatologist to do a scalp biopsy for lichen planopilaris.
  • That's awesome. I know basal cell is not good, but im so glad it's not melanoma. MOHS will get it all. You got this!

Hi Kathy, just stumbled across your Blog while looking for hair piece systems for frontal scarring alopecia and got caught up in your journey. I hope you are well after your op and I look forward to hearing more of your alopecia journey. I started with scarring frontal alopecia at 40yrs old and 6 years down the line have now hit a total low and was looking at wigs and came across a bonded type topper/wig that I am researching. I love your positive vibes and will definitely keep 👀's on you. Good luck and God bless
  • Thank you for sharing. I’m getting ready to begin the chemotherapy cream treatment on my face. I am nervous to begin. I do have a question, the chemotherapy cream didn’t work on the Basel cell cancer you have now? I have had Basel cell, squamous cell and melanoma. Being a redhead in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and loving the outdoors has been rough on my skin. I’ve never had mohs surgery so I will look at your videos. I do worry that my dermatologist will miss something. Unfortunately there are limited choices for dermatologists in the are. Good luck with the surgery.

I thought the Flouororacil treatment you did would have flushed this out.
