Hello peachies ๐Ÿ‘ The Golden Ratio is a theory which is used extensively to underlie our perception of attractiveness, or in other words to explain what makes someone beautiful.

The Italian Renaissance polymath, Leonardo Da Vinci, used the Golden Ratio equation and realised that the closer a face or object gets to this number, the higher the level of its perceived beauty. In fact, Leonardo is thought to have used the golden ratio when painting the Mona Lisa!

Studies of the most beautiful women in the world have shown that they have countless instances of this ratio in their faces. This proves symmetry to be a key factor in perceived attractiveness, especially in female faces. It is surprising to know that human tend to perceive a face more aesthetically appealing, when it features the Golden Ratio, because the human eye can process it faster, and that causes our brain to feel โ€˜pleasedโ€™!

In our video today, weโ€™re taking a thorough look at the Golden Ratio, and how we can apply this theory to level up our makeup game to enhance our visuals better!

Hope u guys will love this video!โ™ฅโ˜บ pls enjoy peachies!

you are a godsend. you dont apply makeup on camera like the other beauty gurus, but you have the art and science of makeup mastered. you are a true beauty guru

THIS is what people need, not another Sephora haul. Spending more money won't make you any prettier unless you know what you're doing. I guess all that matters to influencers is that sweet sweet sponsorship.

As a person who enjoys sketching or drawing (I'm not a professional), the face of Red Velvet's Irene is the hardest to draw for me because her facial features are almost well-balanced. Because in order to capture the essence of a person's face, you have to exagerrate that person's facial feature which is always noticed by people like a mole on the cheek or large eyes or a pointy nose or bushy brows or full lips. In Irene's case, it's hard to draw her because once a feature of her is drawn smaller or larger, thicker or thinner, her face will not look like her anymore. * The edit is for the grammar.
  • as an artist whos characters often suffer from same face syndrome, this vid was extremely useful for me as well

I love the way you break beauty into such an approachable, methodical, and practical way!

Love how all of your videos are so organized and structured. It's so easy to understand and learned from it Edit: Pardon me, imma be requesting content which is: 1. Hooded eyes makeup solution 2. About 12 seasonal color thingy 3. About the 7 style essence
  • You dont know how this video really makes me appreciate my look๐Ÿ˜ญ i never think im pretty but itโ€™s actually all because i never tried the โ€œbalancedโ€ style that suits me better. Thank you so much i learn so much from thisโค

Hi Peachie. Can you make a make up tutorial for round or square face shapes? Tysm๐Ÿฅฐ
  • These are pretty helpful! Gotta admit it takes time and effort to learn about my own facial features but its also fun. Thank you again Peachie!
  • I discovered your channel last night and have been BINGING all day. I really appreciate your videos about enhancing natural beauty vs changing โ€œflawsโ€ thank you for your videos!
  • This channel and QOVES are my two top favorite when analyzing beauty
  • I truly love this channel, I only tend to see these topic in like Chinese web novels and luckily occasionally the translator will go into detail but doing the research in English never tends to show up

i love how i watch ur videos trying to be better-looking and always end thinking that i already look "better". Thanks!

The problem with the standard is that itโ€™s highly unrealistic. People who have a small features with v shaped face usually have smaller bone space for eyes so their eyes are usually small along with their lips and nose. Itโ€™s like their mixing pretty features of each race on a single face and that caused them to not be able to reach the standard unless they go under surgery like 90 percent of the kpop idols.
  • I just measured my face and I happen to have the same distance in all my "thirds" ๐Ÿ˜ต that's fantastic! I always thought my upper third was too wide for my face, and that it was making me look disproportionate, it's kinda freeing knowing I don't need to worry about that ๐Ÿ˜Š I can now focus my attention on my eyes' makeup since I have very close set eyes. I love this channel
  • @feirlie8498
i have a shorter middle third ratio and all makeup videos i watched only gave tips on how to make it even shorter, so thank you for showing us how we can elongate it :)
  • @clarimm6675
This video was super helpful! โค I always preferred the left side of my face but never really knew why. I tested the golden ratio grid on my face and it turns out that my left side is pretty well balanced actually whereas the right side of my face doesn't fit as well. Over the years, my eyes and eyebrows were complimented a lot which confused me but now I found out that this region of my face is quite symmetrical and honestly, it's such a confidence boost and really helps with makeup going forward ๐Ÿฅฐ

Iโ€™ve always thought I had a baby face, because I have large eyes and look young. So I always go for the cute look. Now that I realized I had actually a longer middle third ratio, what I should actually go for was actually elegant or mature ๐Ÿ˜‚ this helped a lot Edit: I made another picture and now I have a narrow upper third while the last 2 are balanced?? I think I should just measure my face without he camera ๐Ÿ˜
