In this video we find out how much horsepower and torque my 2000 Dodge Viper makes at the wheels and drag & roll race it against a 2011 Audi S4, 2007 Ford Mustang GT, and a 2021 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Widebody (SRT 392).

If you have a stock 2015+ Mustang GT (Gen 2/3 Coyote), C5 Z06 / C6 / Camaro SS (LS3/LT1), or Hellcat, are in the Reno area, and willing to drive ~75 miles to the middle of nowhere for some friendly racing, feel free to hit me up on Instagram @_foureyes.

This is what I’m talking about. Efficient editing, no terrible music or bad jokes, just good content.

Much respect to the engineers from 20 years ago, I’d imagine has to be hell of feeling seeing your car still whoop ass 20 years later. Masterpiece

Man the viper is just one of those timeless classics that was engineered so well, it stands the test of time

This exact Viper is in Gran Turismo and I always thought it's performance in the game was maybe a bit exaggerated. But after seeing this video, I guess it wasn't exaggerated after all.

I remember playing with the Viper endlessly in Test drive 6 as a kid ❤️

No matter what similar HP car you pitch the viper against, it's the tall flat torque curve that gives it the biggest advantage. Peak horsepower is produced for an instant in time in each gear. That tall flat torque profile lasts the whole race.

EXCELLENT production...no waffling BS, just into it, well narrated and kept my attention

early gen vipers scare me sometimes, even 20 years later they’re still a beast compared to newer cars

I'm not even gonna front, Your shifting in the last race was impeccable! We have to appreciate that too because the machine is only as good as the person controlling it.

Challenger: Big car with a big engine in it. Viper: Huge engine with a little car wrapped around it.

DAMN!! That Viper just keeps on pullin’ from start to finish. Nonstop torque.

Love the first gen GTS coupes, they are so good looking. And apparently still as awesome as I thought they were when they came out in the mid 90's. Entertaining video thanks for sharing.
  • It's so relieving to get recommended a car channel that isn't full of dubstep/trap music transitions or dumb hype beasts. Fantastic and presented very well. Subscribed.

TBH the Viper is like that “old man” that still has it, and can still run your ass down. Viper was meant as a “no frills” supercar. An engine, seats, and chassis.

Very nice video! Can’t wait for more content!

Great in depth comparison. Good job!
