Quick, now's YOUR chance to explain the plot of Kingdom Hearts. Go!
-
Sora: "It has something to do with hearts, probably???" Joker: "You'll never see it coming."
-
KH lore be like: everything that Tetsuya Nomura thinks/does, it's canon
-
sora not understanding his series is like not being able to understand whats in class, you can't ask whats going on but you have to pretend to know whats going on
-
Who woulda thought a Disney franchise would be this confusing.
-
Simplifying the kingdom hearts story is like baptizing a cat
-
Sora could've said "Edgelord?", and everyone would've also just said "Edgelord."
-
Basically the whole story of kingdom hearts in a few words: hearts have a connection and the villains are always like “yo come on over to our side and join our totally non spooky cult of darkness bro”
-
Kingdom Hearts’ lore: “You didn’t have to cut me off...”
-
The Mouse King makes sure to make the lore as complex as possible so that no one will fully understand his motives...
-
Young Xehanort: "It's not THAT complicated. For someone to move through time, they must first abandon their body, becoming nothing more than a disembodied Heart in the process. In order for one to travel to a certain point in time, there must be another version of them waiting at said destination. In addition, rewriting the events that are destined to happen is forbidden in the laws of time; what is set in stone cannot be changed. Upon return to one's original point in time, the traveler loses all memory of the experience gained traveling." Sora: Sora.exe has stopped working.
-
I love the idea that Sora hasn't understood what's happening in his own series this whole time, and he's just following the age old strategy of "Fake it till you make it" lol
-
Sora: it has something to do with hearts. Joker: DID SOMEONE SAY HEARTS?!?!
-
A summary of Kingdom Hearts: There is a prophecy about a war between Light and Dark, with 3 big steps (War between 7 lights and 13 darknesses, forging of the X-Blade, and the uncovering of Kingdom Hearts) before the world is reset. Master Xehanort was too impatient; and tried to skip a few steps. All of these shortcut plans involved facing a trio of amateurs. One would be manipulated or possessed by him, the second would have his spiritual Heart connected to that other other protagonists of the trios, and the third acts as a support. First, Xehanort tried to forge the X-Blade (step 2) using Ven, who Aqua supported. This ultimately failed, but Xehanort managed to transplant his Heart into Terra and possess him. Next he made a decade-long plan, which involved opening the Door to the Realm of Darkness and splitting fragments of his heart across more people. Opening the Door caused him to split into a Heartless (fallen Heart, all except his are feral beasts) and a Nobody (strong wills can still control their empty bodies). In the interim, his Heartless—Ansem Seeker of Darkness—and Nobody—Xemnas—would make their own plans that skip the X-Blade. Ansem SoD tried to use the Hearts of fallen Worlds to make an imperfect Kingdom Hearts; the Light of All Worlds. To do this, he possessed Riku, and was defeated by Sora, who was supported by Kairi. (Eventually, Riku managed to seal away that fragment of Ansem, then later stole his powers for himself). Meanwhile, Xehanort used two trios to make a Light of All Hearts. He tried to have his puppet Xion defeat Roxas, who was supported by Axel. Losing both Xion and Roxas, he tried to manipulate Sora, who was supported by Riku. When both Ansem SoD and Xemnas were defeated by Sora, Master Xemnas was restored. He split his heart among 11 others, and wanted to make Sora his 13th darkness. However, Riku with Axel’s support stopped him. With Xehanort almost ready to properly fulfill the prophecy, Sora and Riku seek out the missing trio members, forming the 7 guardians of light to fight Xehanort’s 13 seekers of darkness. The war happens, the X-Blade is forged, and Sora barely defeats Xehanort in time after Kingdom Hearts is revealed.

We need a comic of Snake and Sora meeting to discuss their convoluted plots

Sora's answer.... Sora: I'll let you know when I figure it out myself. Someone: You don't know how your own franchise's time travel works? Cloud: His franchise is notorious for being crazy complicated... and he's not exactly the brightest bulb on the tree. You're not going to get much clarification of anything out of him. Sora: Sorry.
-
Sora: Sonic, I heard you travelled into the past too, Sonic: That's right! Sora: So, any chance of a deal with ViacomCBS? Sonic: Maybe or maybe not Sora.
-
The logic of his own universe broke him
-
Even Sora admitted it in the end of Re: Mind secret ending. None of this makes any sense to me.

In case anyone needs a lesson on KH timetravel, it involves using magic to send a person's heart back in time. However, a person must have a body waiting for them at the destination, otherwise they become some weird specter. This also works going forward in time as well.
