I love how he stopped the recording in record time. Actually impressive.

2/10 for the cameraman 6/10 for instinct 10/10 perfect cut "oh my -"

A wholesome family video capturing a sudden massive tragedy like this is terrifyingly surreal to watch
  • Can everybody stop talking about the cameramans, "bad camera work", please? The reason why he stopped recording was because he got scared and wanted to protect his kids. Start thinking about those who died and stop thinking about the' "bad camera work".
  • I hope the family was alright. If you didn’t know any better it could’ve look like a nuke being dropped in relatively close proximity. Scary.
  • His biggest mistake was turning off the camera. Remember folks, when a disaster happens, always turn on your camera because the cameraman never dies!!

The worst thing about living through this experience was definitely the uncertainty. I didn’t know if it was a plane bombing, a gas line exploding, and earth quake and if there was going to be another. Fortunately I was lucky and survived un-injured but a lot weren’t as lucky as me. I pray for the victims and their families.
  • The little snap, crackle, pop at 0:28 had me like “oh that wasn’t as bad as I remember it. They must’ve been far away.” Then 0:56 happened and I actually jumped. There’s a distinct terror you feel watching that much energy get released. Makes you feel really small.
  • My heart dropped when I realize how close they were on that thing and how it went. I hope the kids were alright.

Won't lie, had a chill down my spine at the initial explosion; realizing exactly how close they were to the warehouse.

I respect him for turning off the camera. Because it means he cares for his kids more than the footage.. great camera work! He did what he could.

Toddler will remember forever her (seemingly ) 1st ride without training wheels
  • For those unaware, a shockingly small number of people died that day. This dad and kids were fine.

when you get hit with a shock wave, don't close your mouth, don't hold your breath. The pressure difference could break your ear drums.

it's been a long time since i've seen footage of the blast at first i was relieved because they seemed to be far enough away that the explosion was quiet.. and then the actual explosion happened 💔 i hope this family is alright and is able to find peace in spite of this tragedy

0:23 ~ So clean and such a beautiful family out and about. Sincerely hope things have improved. Very crushing to see what happened there after all they've been through all these years.
  • @CrimxSun
Imagine the dads fear, being there with his kids😣

Every time I see a video of the explosion, I'm so thankful that my aunt, uncle and cousin were out of the country at the time. Their flat, only a few blocks from the port was severely damaged but nobody was hurt.

My heart hurts right now. I saw videos of the secondary explosion from miles away. I hope those people are okay.
