Technically what made him and many current trends is the limewire phase. It was a lucky break that tricked users into bumping his music. It’s a real trend. Look among cover songs now and even SoundCloud rappers still do it for every new joint. 07 was a turning point year. Social media was picking up, torrents were flowing, YouTube started popping, he just happened to time everything perfectly and I gotta give him props. The man did his thing. Respect the Soulja. 🤟
