    it’s not one-shot (it very much seems like it) but the closer you are the faster their bar goes down (the bar signals how much until you explode) and if they are about a front dash away their bar takes little to no decrease (and also focus strike black flash has a custom finisher)

    You can actually break into domains with the blade hands front dash with Mahito, it's mostly likely a bug so its probably gonna get patched soon
