I will have 40 Picos surrounding my hanger like Storm Troopers as I land and slowly walk down my Carrack ramp expecting honor to my presence. Glorious.
  • @SmorgusBorg
There is no way that hangar was decorated by a person with a tractor beam. That was built with dev tools.

20:18 This is my main issue with CIG. They take forever to reinvent the wheel. When they deliver it, it's cracked and square.
  • @VonChoker
the only problem with the ability to shoot intruders that come into your hangar they never addressed whether the intruders could shoot back and when the viewpoint of the demo switched to the guy being shot he also didn't have an armistace marker in the top left that would otherwise indicate he couldn't fire

I’ve given up on running large amounts of cargo since a while ago. This new gameplay seals that decision for me.
  • @FrazzleCat
They definitely used a level editor to layout the stuff in those hangars. No question. No shot they set those items the same way players would.

We need: Gun racks, armor mannequins, display cases, lockers ... if you want to be able to populate them with gear then "grab and go". The armor mannequins should have a "dawn armor" as "F" action, which will put what you're already wearing in place of what's on it.
  • I like the physicalized application here, but gamify it, like make it dangerous to move a box and not get knocked out if it hits you, or hits a friend.
  • @micahOnGuitar
I don't think SC needs to draw the tedium of things like inventory management and looting but the cargo stuff works for me

I didnt think the pausing was annoying until you continually told me it was as you kept doing it….😂😂 Look like interesting update for those that like inventory management and moving boxes and stuff. Personally I prefer something where other random players can look at what you built (and not destroy it) like you find in many MMOs or games like No Man’s Sky or Fallout 76. If it’s only people on my team I don’t have much incentive. Hopefully we see that with habitats.
  • sice you don't need a ship to buy cargo with the new update and you have cargo inventory at the location, it should be possible to trade without moving. Just buy cargo, wait until the location demands more for it and then sell. No risk involved
  • @CordlezToaster
They’ve taken what’s enjoyable in this game and upped the time requirement to now interact with it. It’s going to be interesting how the player base responds
  • Actually funny enough, there's a few different kinds of searching. All the names I'm gonna say is just what I call them, cause it's fun Key Specific is like, it'll only match with a certain key or type of item. Searching Helmet won't necessarily help you find the exact one you're looking for, so you'd put something like "Full visor Arctic Digital EVA-1028B" It'd search for any helmet that matches that key description or close to it, or that code and Specification. If it can't find an exact match, either it'll say "Couldn't find a match" or bring up ones relative to the key specific Search, like "White Wolf CQC-1028F" Fuzzy is a loose term, where it'll bring up anything related under the search query. Searching "Helmet" will bring up all of them labelled helmet with all colors, models and codes. It personally doesn't care, as long as you get a helmet Color Searching is where if you don't really know what the hell you're searching for but you remember the color. Searching "White" will then try to search that description, including other colors that can potentially match. "White" could lead to Arctic Digital White, Snow White, Subversions of white, as long as it has a correlation to white. "Digital", same thing. Arctic Digital, Forest Camo Digital, Desert Camo Digital, you get the idea lol

Those times are absolutely bonkers for a video game. This looks more like a job than a fun activity. You now have to commit to two hours of play to do a large cargo run.
  • @Volf1916
Yeah, not expecting access to any of this for a few months. And then I am expecting major load in issues as well as traversal and inventory bugs to be game breaking for at least the next 3 to 6 patches. Maybe stable enough to use regularly by the 3.50 or 3.60 patch series.
  • @Stakar0gord
@Ollie43 - They obviously use their own internal tooling to make the stacks as well as layout items for presentation. Also... I thought they said Fish Tank fix was coming a bit later? I cannot remember but know they said something about it.
  • So more time in the Hangar showing friends your creative skills
  • Thank you for your comments. I am having two problems with 3.24: loading and tansporting commodities from one place to another, picking up the content of a box found in a building and tranfered it in my ship (3.23.1 had a local where you could place the stuff before transfering it to the ship) Could you make a video showing how it is done in 3.24?
