This is just another way you can do it if you’re afraid of using the eraser wheels we have demonstrated. There is more than one way to do this and you should do what you’re comfortable with. If you’re comfortable with an eraser wheel, it’s much faster. Just be sure to polish after whichever way you decide to use.

Not only did the dealer install the pinstripe stickers but they probably charged around $1200 for the “service”.

You should also be telling the people that you're using a plastic razor blade!! I think that's the biggest key to success here I bet 99.9 percent of people don't know that plastic razor blades exist , I'm a painter and I didn't realize it till last year

Years ago I went with my mother to buy a new vehicle. I carefully looked over some of the paperwork and noticed they were charging her $250 for pin stripes. Quickly ran out and saw there were no pin stripes yet on the car and saved that $250.

U know, doing all this filming, editing, narration, good angles, all that shits a lot of work. So thanks for the material you present to us 😎👍🏼

I've been a wrap installer for around 12 years now and HEAT IS YOUR FRIEND. If you're still getting adhesive try stretching it off instead of peeling. Grab a piece and pull on it parallel to the vehicle, this is how you remove paint protection film or double sided tape without issues. Of course with something this skinny you can't really do that so using the plastic razor and heat is the correct way to do it. Also Rapid Remover is by far the best adhesive remover I've ever used, doesn't effect paint and removes adhesive faster than anything I've ever tried besides brake cleaner wich I don't recommended on painted things. It's $75 a gallon but a gallon will last you a while.

I always used eraser wheels. My painter taught me about the tool. It's super fast, easy, and cheap. Works great and doesn't scratch.

Something similar happened to me after I bought my truck at the dealership, literally, as I was signing the paperwork, they put a white vinal with the dealership name and logo on the back of the tinted window, looked horrible like WTF, why would they do that?? I had to tell them I wouldn't pay unless they removed it

My biggest complaint is when the dealer applies a vinyl logo on my car. I am not driving around their advertisement for free. If you want to pay for it we'll talk sponsorships.

I had a dealer put his name on a decal on the trunk of the car and then add license plate frames on a Lexus I bought from them. I showed up with the cashier's check. Showed it to them, before the could grab it I asked to see the car to make sure all was well, they brought the car around, and here are all these dealer ads plastered on my car. I was hot. I was like you all gonna pull my car around back and remove that crap. they even tried to upcharge me for the frames to as the amount on thier invoice was different than the contract I signed and had the check cut for. Insanity what they try to pull stand you ground it's your car stick it in their arse and walk away. There are plenty of cars out there.

I just bought a truck from a dealership and first thing I did when I got home was removed All the Dealership tagging that they had put on. All the vinyl stickers with the dealerships named They put on the truck as well as the frame around the License plate. I would leave all that stuff on if the dealership would pay me for the advertisement.

Every time I buy a vehicle from a dealership, I tell them, no free advertising. No dealer stickers, no license plate frames. I want a clean vehicle. The last time, as we went to the dealer to pick it up, there was a dealer sticker on the back. We got up to leave, and the manager rushed over, saying they would remove it. Guess they thought I wouldn’t notice!

Back in the late 70s in South Florida, there was an artist who hand painted pinstripe and custom designs on vehicles. He would remove vinyl logos and reproduce them with painted logos. The guy was a master. Only problem was he loved wine. If you wanted to buy him a bottle for a good job as well, you had to give it to him AFTER the job was done. Otherwise there wouldn't be a square inch of vehicle that was just plain paint. Great memories as he did a 1981 TransAm for me. #VanDutch
  • Looks so much better without the stripe. Good job, hope the client didn’t get charged for something they didn’t want 👀
  • @Voltaic_Fire
I had a kind of similar situation with a PC builder, they covered the case in a self promotional vinyl and badges that weren't advertised when buying the computer, I sent it back and made them remove that stuff before sending it back. I don't buy things just to advertise the people that sold it to me.

I bought an all options Silverado in 93 and the vinyl stripes out lasted the paint by a long shot and still looked good.
  • I actually like pinstriping, but I prefer it when it’s done by hand and actually suits the vehicle. You know, almost like an artist did it. 😅😂

I was buying a new Town Car back in the 80's and the dam dealer went ahead and 'pinstriped' the car with that cheap vinyl. When I saw that I was pissed, the car had factory striping, painted on, yet they felt the need to embelish it with some ugly vinyl. I told them to get rid of it, when I went to pick the car up they had scratched the shit out of the paint down both sides and even scraped off the OEM stripes. I just left and never went back. I bought one elsewhere.
  • @1992djg
My classic truck came with pinstripe stickers from factory when I had it repainted I told them explicitly to replace them because I wanted to have it professionally pinstriped only issue is I haven’t found someplace that does pinstriping
  • What did the dealer come put pin stripes on it after they bought it!? I’d be mad too!
  • @eddyram4932
They probably charged him for it too🤦‍♂️ I Went with an ex to view a Toyota Camry listed online. When they brought out the paperwork it had an extra 4k on the price. I ask why, they tell me well the car has a couple extra things on it, can’t remember all but it included those door stripes to prevent other doors from hitting your car. I told them to remove them cuz we didn’t want them. They tried to force her to buy it, I said let’s just leave and go to a different place. Then they said they would remove the 4k charge. So when the paperwork came back, then had removed the 4k, but had also removed her down payment from the final price, and they tried to steal the money. I told them if the final price isn’t going to reflect the down payment, they can just return the money and she would just pay the price without a down payment. She ended up buying the car with zero down payment, and a slightly lower price than they listed online. Thieves will get you if you’re not careful.
