This video is amazing. great to see someone actually in the store showing products and talking about them.

As someone who had atopic eczema throughout my entire life, I swear by the vaseline intensive care lotion. Their products are my holy grail even in the "better" months.
  • I have literally tried every eczema product at the drugstore for my eyelid eczema and the best one is the aveeno baby eczema therapy moisturizing cream. All the others Ive tried have irritated my skin. And putting petroleum jelly on top when the cream dries down makes it even better.

At 17:33 thank you for validating that! I took my daughter to a specialist and he mentioned how eczema can ruin a persons whole well being, how it was his childhood struggle which is why he specialized in it. When I mentioned it to my daughter’s pediatrician she laughed at me and said it doesn’t and stared at me like I was an idiot then pretty much said he’s a quack… I left so upset with her cause I know my daughter was miserable day/night!

I saw a post on Facebook, and this woman complained that her skin is very itchy after leaving the shower... I explained it was her skin barrier and suggested Aveeno balm. I also told her to follow you here on YT.. You're so educated on these matters and have helped so many of us. This is a great video for me... I used most of the products you've suggested and my skin is lovely once again... The winter is coming and this is very tough on my skin... Thanks Dr Dray... You rule 💖 P.S. I slathered up while watching 🧴

After the last eczema video, I started using fragrance and dye free body wash instead of scented hand soap and it's really helped my hands clear up so far!

As someone who’s had Eczema for 14 years now, on my lower legs & ankles, sometimes you NEED to go to your doctor and get a prescription. Mine was so bad & so horribly Itchy, I had to get Elocon Ointment for it. Used twice a day, that actually cleared it right up in about two weeks. I tried many over the counter remedies & none of them worked. The prescription Ointment was a necessity for me.😉

We’ve tried quite a few, and for my son and I the Gold Bond works best. It’s got 2% colloidal oatmeal vs many products only having 1%. I can’t say for sure, but maybe that’s why.

Currently experiencing a bad eczema flare 😅 this video could not have come at a better time! Thanks Dr. Dray!
  • @HappyCat3096
I used the Gold Bond Eczema on my face (I have rosacea). It's nice. I have also used the Eucerin Eczema Relief, it's good too. Very soothing. I also use kids or baby mineral sunscreens, like Banana Boat Kids/Baby or Cerave Baby.

Dr. Dray thank you for this video. I have been dealing with severe atopic dermatitis due to severe allergies which started when I reached menopause. For some reason I cannot tolerate occlusive like Vaseline even when I am flaring up. My problem is on my neck and hands. It is very painful and life disturbing. This video definitely helps. Thank you for all the suggestions. Have a great day.

You aren’t wrong when you say Urea can make a flare up sting. I had a spot flare up that also is in the same place as my KP. I put the Cetaphil Urea cream on it thinking it would help, NOPE. Stung like crazy and made the flare up worse. Works great on KP tho as long as you aren’t having an eczema flare up lol.

I suffer from eyelid eczema. What works the best for me is a swipe of SkinSmart on a cotton pad and then CeraVe Healing Ointment on top.

I don't have eczema but I know these tips will still be beneficial to me, especially in the Winter when my skin becomes drier. Thanks, Dr Dray! Happy Tuesday!! I hope you have a blessed evening. 💚

Thank you as always for caring so much to educate us- my friend just had her 20th surgery to remove many skin lesions and have biopsies and she is addicted to going in the sun. I wish she would watch you, 💜💜💜

Excellent coverage Dr. Dray. I am suffering from frequent hives, periodic spouts of atopic dermatitis, and dryness of eczema on my hands and arms. This video covered so much for me and gave lots of perspective. I am pretty much a fan of CeraVe/Eucerin/Aquaphor products. Keep these coming Dr. Dray! Me and my Esthetics Students follow and watch your videos.

''scratched'' the surface, Dr Dray, u crack me up!!

I have atopic eczema for six months a year during the cold season since I was born, I thought cold was a common if not the main cause for it, but I never hear talk about it in skincare videos...I am also allergic to wool, which makes the winter a bit complicated 😅 It is mainly on the limbs and the scalp though, suprisingly my face skin is very resilient.
  • @ebrucelikalay9416
Thanks for this I think environment plays a big part in this. I live in northern Canada and my eye lids are always flaring with eczema.

I've been using Banana Boat sensitive mineral sunscreen (also labeled Kids or Baby sunscreen, same ingredients) for many years, yes it leaves a bit of a cast but I can deal with it fine, it is the only one that is super affordable and also feels great with my sensitive dry skin
