  • Dare I say your cinematic-style tutorials are on the... cutting edge? When I looked up and saw this was nearly 8 minutes long, I couldn't believe it since it felt like you... sliced through the content so effectively.
  • @flapstick_101
This was the most creative & mind-blowing tutorial I've seen, while still being straightforward. Thank you so much, Javier!
  • @AndyGilleand
I've mapped the split to the S key for simplicity, which I believe is how it was in Vegas back when I used that long ago.
  • I've been editing for 10 years, but am always learning new ways to be more efficient. This tutorial was outstanding, thanks Javi!
  • I'm just amazed how you made using the razor tool look so difficult, when it really isn't. It's one button click.
  • @michaellbrest
The amount of editing technique you put into these videos to make them more fun and engaging is worth the effort. Thanks for taking the time!
  • @MiauxCatterie
funny, short, and not overwhelming to a beginner like me who found this while trying to figure out how to edit at all. this makes it look so much easier, i love that last tip, it's just the one for me. thank you thank you
  • @LeoRivero
Honestly, Javier I don't understand how this video can have dislikes is such nice content and I think you explain it the best way possible thank you so much! I won't use the razor tool again!
  • @binkybinkles
this is hands down the most useful premiere pro tutorial i have ever watched, i even came back years later to re-configure my new laptop because i had forgotten how i got to use the add edit and why/how i had a keyboard shortcut for the ripple edits n stuff lol like i had just naturally become so accustomed!
  • As an Avid editor looking to understand how techniques differ, this was an excellent video, super clear, fun and informative. Thank you!
  • The way this video flows, the writing, the transitions. It's all that of a channel with millions of subscribers. Great work. Keep it up.
  • @RadicalElder
After watching this video, I changed E to Ctrl+K and Ctrl+K to E. Now I Add Edit with one button on my left hand which almost never comes off the keyboard anyways. I still have easy access to "extend selected edit to playhead" but my unedited videos can be up to 14 hours long. Between E and, of course, Q and W, my first pass has gotten SO much quicker. Fantastic tip, as always! (I'm new, yes, I'm binge watching you lol)
  • @BlackKhatStudio
I was actually using the Ripple Delete before I watched this, but I didn't know about any of the shortcuts or Add Edit. This was really help!
  • @CHEFPKR
You just changed my life. Also, absolutely fantastic video. Side Note: I have mapped Shift+Del and CTRL+K to my back/forward side mouse buttons...
  • I'm self taught and this is the first time I've heard of the razor tool. I've been using ctrl k and manually shifting things. These tips will really speed up my editing.
  • I never used the rasor tool and you are the first to show these ways that are much faster ! Thank you for letting the world know
  • This tutorial was much better than the one I found. Dude just told me, "Just press C to cut lol" when what I needed was a very precise frame by frame cut.
