This boss absorbs everything but pierce damage. The boss will try to enrage you to restore its HP and undo all your progress.

Method 1: Have all party members with pierce type weapons (bows, spears, guns), so enrage will actually help you. You'll still need Rage immunity on your protag since you they can only use one weapon type (slash) in this version of the game.

Method 2: Put ailment immunity on everyone. I just farmed Abaddon for his Heart Item, Tome of the Void. It'll be useful for the final boss too, so I figured I might as well.

The Steam Version (PC) of Persona 3 Portable played without directly controlling party members, what many consider to be the most important new feature added in Portable. The party members' AI in Portable is not as good or nearly as fun to use as in FES for a couple reasons: (1) less tactic options making it less rewarding to figure out the optimal strategy, (2) the AI has been oversimplified and no longer uses buffs or debuffs. Nonetheless, I still did it just to say I have. Persona 5 Royal will be next... eventually.
