You know it’s going to be good when it’s a Rajiv video.
  • My Mom was an antiques dealer. She and my little brother would do a three day show at Brimfield. They hauled their loot in a trailer behind a station wagon to Brimfield, set up their both, and slept in the empty station wagon at night! Those were the days!
  • I adore Rajiv! HIs enthusiasm regarding thrifting, antiquing, and any DIY that he is interested in is simply intoxicating. It's a plus that he is both handsome and smart.
  • Rajiv, You beautiful, talented soul! I owned a large antique shop and you are giving great advice to people just starting out. Ironstone has always had my heart. Thank You for all you do!

I remember the years that my husband and I were able to spend days walking Brimfield from morning to night. Our bodies won't allow that anymore but coming with you today, Rajiv was just a joy!

Please show us what you bought. It could be another whole show about your purchases and how you will use them. Thank you!

I grew up in a 1920 house and I took the crystal and brass doorknobs for granted but it’ s probably the one thing I miss about that house now.

This put a smile on my face when all i want to do is cry. So thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and passions with us. You're an amazing human <3

Aw yeah - this is right up my alley. I love your packing and payment advice for a day antiquing and how you look at the day as opportunities to acquire but also to do research. Regarding the ornate level of past objects, "where did we go wrong?" is right! Once, I was in Brussels and every hinge, every street drainage grate was detailed and beautiful! I went to a flea market and found radiator pieces, floor register covers, bathtub feet, house number plates, doorknobs, and odds and ends. My suitcase was so heavy but I wanted to bring them home as proof that there was a time when God was in the details! My husband is an archaeologist and recently dug up an ornate metal object that he originally identified as an intricate belt buckle but was actually the handle of a medieval bucket! Where DID we go wrong?!😊 Edited to add - I felt a vicarious thrill as you found that unused Ironstone pitcher for THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS!!! And your stumbling across the Ironstone booth with the new-to-you shapes priced so well... I have DREAMS that this kind of thing happens to me, so I'm so, so thrilled for YOU!!! Oh my, that field of chairs! What a thrill; minutes just aren't enough sometimes, but at close to closing time, that's all you get! "I actually love this because of the boo-boo." The way your research and appreciation combine to glimpse a probable human interaction in the past where the supervisor accepts the flaw made by the Yellowware employee...I don't know, Rajiv. I think you should consider writing (fiction). 💙you, you handsome soul!
