Not the biggest Guilty Gear Fan but GGXXACPR is by far to me the best game in the series followed by Rev 2. I think Strive is the definition of mediocre to me. I think it looks beautiful but I just don't like the gameplay that much. It's why I stopped playing it and have no interest in going back to it or even watching it.

Overture is very good actually! The online community is still active and running daily games.The combo system is very in-depth despite your initial impressions. The game has tons of sauce that I'm sad u missed out on

+R is arguably the COOLEST fighting game ever not the best most balanced easiest or most popular But even if you suck at it the game is undeniably sick just a glance at the characters like venom Johnny and zappa and the high level gameplay is one of the most entertaining (sidewinder combos are ... Really sick) and the soundtrack is in my opinion the best in series

I'm in a pretty unusual spot in the fandom, but I agree that Strive is the best game despite having played both the XX series since Reload and the Xrd series since Sign. I really feel like people oversell the quality of the old games and don't give Strive nearly enough credit for some really great FG mechanics design.

bro strive is not the most played guilty gear because it is the best, it is the most played guilty gear because it is the most recent in the saga and it is still supported, in fact in my opinion it can age quite badly if they do not change the game system towers rank

Ironically enough it is a bit shocking to me to see Strive at first place considering massive hate-boner the community has for it. Not that it doesn't have its downsides for returning players, but most of them hate it just cause it's different or just because they need to complain about something. Glad to see some positivity about this game, even if I don't play it myself

as someone who's currently playing plus r and xrd and nearly 800 hrs in strive let's not pretend like strive is not the weakest in terms of gameplay it has ( simplification of characters) (Combo structure and expression has been turned down) I mean play aba from Plus r and play aba from strive. One is more rewarding than the other. Plus r Aba had Frame traps and risky trats. that's why aba is so hype in tournaments. It's ok if you like the game, you casual
