Well technicly his Job is just to destory in balance to the Kais creation. Not to kill Rouge Gods. It just happens to be that Zamazu personally pissed Beerus off by endangering his future Foodsupply. But since killing a Divine Being is a big thing he needed to be 100% certain that Zamazu really did what he did.
