Their fantastic drummer Dino Danelli just passed away in December at 78. The other members are still living. They had many good hits you should react to.

Originally they were âThe Young Rascalsâ & dressed accordingly. Then they dropped The Young & became âThe Rascalsâ & dressed like adults. Really good band. âItâs A Beautiful Morningâ, âHow Can I Be Sureâ, âGroovinââ & âPeople Got To Be Freeâ are just a few hits you should give cover.

This great song was out in 1966. Felix Cavaliere is a great singer. They were inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Also there's another great singer there who was on tambourines, Eddy Brigatti who did How can I be Sure. Many very good songs. Groovin, Beautiful Morning, People gotta be Free,I've been Lonely too Long. Appreciate both of you reacting to this great song.

One of the very best drummers oif the era right there, Dino Danelli. Sadly passed away last year, he was utterly unique and completely brilliant.

The Rascals had some REALLY good songs, back in the day. They were in my 8 Track rotation. I used to always take the long way when driving 'cause it gave me time to listen to an entire album!

You need to remember that back in the mid-sixties, the only time that a lot of people got to see these bands perform was when they appeared on television and that wasn't frequently. The bands knew that and so they made the most of it as well. The twist was also in the early to mid-sixties.

They were riffing on The Little Rascals, the kid's movie series from the '30s that used to play on morning TV all the time in the '50s thru the '70s. In fact they were sued for copyright infringement so they changed their name to just The Rascals. Probably would've gotten away with it if they didn't wear the Little Rascals "uniforms" on stage. Great rock group. Felix Cavaliere a genius songwriter and singer. RIP Dino Danelli, the drummer. Just passed recently.

Love that Hammond B3, which is what gives it the churchy sound. It was originally created as a cheap alternative to pipe organs but then was adapted by soul and rock performers like Booker T and Steve Winwood and many others.

Just heard this on the radio yesterday and I have to say, the audio version is much better. It sounds speeded up in this live version. Check out the audio to really hear all the aspects of this great song.
