Liked and subscribed. Thank you for sharing. I just looked at one today at a friends place. He's had it for years and never even plugged it in until I asked about it. It powered on, lit up and had static. Didn't mess with it beyond that. I'm thinking of biying it from him and I now understand the controls much better.

Great video, and your S-40B is quite lovely - thanks so much for sharing it with us. I wonder why Hallicrafters included those extra 14 MHz of reception? Usually, .5 to around 30 MHz is the norm. Just curious what was in that part of the spectrum in the fifties.
