  • My question, does the BEST team in the league always win the league? I think not. Liverpool's 97 point side were a better side than City. Am I right?
  • @Jaydedfaded
I blame our loss on Rory’s prediction that we would win
  • I'm an Arsenal fan and I'm saying the best overall team always wins the league. You can't fluke a 38 game season. So did we deserve to win it? No because we didn't win it. We can point to Villa but also to our awful December. So well done City.

Best team in the league is the one that amassed most points over 38 games. Not sure how that can even ne denied tbh

Its hilarious when other clubs supporters try to talk bs about Arteta saying he only has 1 trophy. Knowing dam well they would kill to have him manage their teams and playing the way Arsenal does.

I’m an Arsenal fan and the table doesn’t lie, h2h and stats tells you that the gap between the two clubs is very small and it’s just how they handle the very fine margins, but the most important gap is the points one! So, well done City! I’m optimistic for next season because I know Arsenal can still improve a lot and I think City will be stagnant in their progression! I think we need to win next season before Pep leaves just for the achievement of beating Pep to the league, but if he does leave after next season we’ll have all our players on their prime so there’s a lot to look forward to if you’re an Arsenal fan!

People forget the mess of a club Arteta took over. I see the two first years of him as a manager was cleaning up the club and the players. So I see him at the second year as a proper manager after two years as a one man cleaning crew.

That Liverpool 18/19 season when “they had a better head to head record against city”, they drew at home due to Mahrez missing a last minute penalty and lost away 😂
  • @nancynekesa9894
When Rory predicted Arsenal will win the league,,I became sure they won't 😂😆🔥

The best team always wins. Head-to-head between Arsenal and City is irrelevant because you are technically going head-to-head with 18 other teams.

League position finish and domestic cup success exist independently and cant be argued against each other.2013 Wigan won the FA cup and got relegated.you cant debate and say they had a better sesson to a team that say finished 4th
  • @obinnamadichie
How can you be the best team in the league without being champions
  • @Jkev24
Counterpoint to silverware being better than qualifying for CL... No opposing fans have any respect to Arsenal when they won the FA Cup, in fact they just said they won an insignificant cup. At the end of the day, European cups and the league cup are what a team is truly measured by. These other cups are essentially bonus points, but if you don't win the league or CL they're virtually meaningless by themselves (in today's game, I know historically they used to be held to a higher value). Like is anyone seriously going to say their team won a double if they only win the FA and EFL cup (assuming they are a top 6 club)? Arsenal fans would be laughed off by other fanbases for that being their version of a "double".

Rory, listen mate. It's okay to have a good take once in a while. You should try it one day. The best team wins the league, that's why they give the trophy to the winner of the league, because they were the best in the league. It's literally the only requirement.

If a only there was a points based league system we could refer to with view to seeing who’s the better more deserving team
  • @josephjohn907
Thanks to spurs for not being foolish enough to hand Arsenal the EPL. My days as a Chelsea fan saw Chelsea winning 24 trophies namely 5 EPLs,2 UCLs,2 Europas,1 World club cup and smaller trophies like fa cups and carling cups. I can't envy City as foolish united fans are doing. Referees favoured Ferguson during his days
  • @sboulty1
That game away at city was just after the international break and not a single away PL team got a win on that day and the game against villa finished the league title for us
  • @blacklotus5364
If they were the best team in the league, they would have won the league.
