HUNGRY - Animated Short Film

I made this a few months ago as an entrance to a short film competition, making it public now just for the hell of it. It might not look like it, but it was really hard to make. It's my first experimentation with animation after all.

The 2019 ACMI Screen It Competition promotes students to grow and mature as artists by providing thematic opportunities to create art through. This is my submission.

‘Hungry’, through presentation of a live-action/animation blend, tells the story of a determined little bird simply in search of a snack. The bird ventures from him brick home to a human apartment in search of completing his goal. The story is simple but effective, featuring physical comedy, setup and pay-off story beats and an amusing punchline to wrap it all up. The theme of ‘listen’ was used thematically and narratively. It drives the story through literal moments of sound effecting the plot, and creates satisfying moments by promoting the importance of putting aside your own time to listen to others.

There are some dodgy edits in here that I wish I had changed before uploading, but I already deleted the Premiere Pro file. So this is what you get.
