Reducing Myopia -- Increasing Astigmatism?! | Endmyopia | Jake Steiner

Does reducing your (spherical) myopia carry a risk for an increase of astigmatism?

This, the video explaining what's going on.

I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

A masterpiece. Only a lot of experience and knowledge on the issue can give us that tranquility you gave us today, Jake.

Guys who asked (or want to ask) questions, please read the website (endmyopia.org) and ask in facebook group (please read group rules before asking). It will resolve your questions better that way.

Thank you. I kind of thought that was the situation. I can't figure out why everyone trusts doctors so much. They don't know nearly as much as they think they do.

Jake please make video on only astigmatism without myopia
  • @homtayheang6539
Am think is not astigmatisms to because astigmatisms is like have double vision even you stay near to thing but this double vision in the processing only see double in the far distance only

You are right. One year the optomotrist measures a lot of astigmatism, next year an other optomotrist measures almost nothing. It is almost a random proces. I don't go there anymore. I just bought three glasses with different strengths, -1,5, -1,0 and -0,5, and I use the one I need in different situations: driving at night, driving at daylight, watching tv. When working, reading on my computer or tablet I use +1,0 to be sure there is always a challenge. But at low myopia, as I have, progress is very slow. For me it was about -0,5 diopter a year or maybe even less.

I have no idea what was said in the baby voice
  • Is there a video on measuring astigmatism shooters? Since diopters is the distance to blur...is it measures as the distance to astigmatism blur?

Hi sir, I am from INDIA, I have myopia, I followed your method of working on screen with reduced power and I got my new prescription on December 27 2021, after 6 months I went for follow up and the optometrist told me that I have now got CYLENDRICAL power and my MYOPIA is now reduced by 0.5D . But watching your video I will surely follow the same method and won't go for cylindrical. ~P.S. I got scared that rather improving my myopia I now got another eye disease. Thanks for this video.

I've talked about this in the Facebook group. But I have very low myopia and moderate astigmatism. Probably most of my myopia is ciliary muscle spasm because I've never had glasses before. I see more ghosting than some months ago. I started going to a behavioral optometrist, I hope that helps.
  • Jake if its not astigmatism then what is it? I didnt really understand your video. Are you saying that as your eye ball is reshaping that you will get an astigmatism as compensation until your eye adjusts?
