This, and Number of The Beast opened up an entirely new era of heavy metal. As a granny, I am proud to have attended both of these tours. We used to wear Jean Jackets with pin buttons on them. These were amazing times. Unfortunately, the internet showed up and destroyed humanity. SMH

59 years old, nearly 60. This album kicked my ass in college and is still one of the greatest metal albums ever. Rob Halford’s vocals on this record have no equal. The man is a Metal GOD!!

The Hellion→Electric Eye … it's just the best opening which heavy metal had ever been creating.
  • I used to listen to this album when I was training up for Special Forces selection. The tempo kept me sharp and focussed. I can always hear it in my mind.
  • Every single song on this album is one of my favorite priest songs 🤣 it blows my fucking mind how flawless and perfect this album is from start to finish
  • One of the best albums ever made. Every song is killer. And Halford is just a beast!

The quintessential Heavy Metal band. They set the standard with Halfords vocals and Tipton's shredding. After Defenders of the Faith, I didn't think they would ever be able to top that. Then came Painkiller... One of the most epic albums ever made. Forever Legends. The influence Judas Priest had on music will be felt for generations. They truly are, and will always be Heavy Metal Royalty.

I am 53 years old, and to this day I still play it, both in my spare time and to accompany me to work. greatest album, god of heavy metal
  • @newbheliusr
Music today doesn't come near this kind of music. This is when metal was metal.
  • I remember when this album was first released. I had it on cassette and still have it. It rocked hard then. It rocks hard now. Great metal never dies; it just finds a new generation to appreciate it. 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

I heard Take These Chains and immediately left home! Threw on a bandana and found the nearest show, Fresno, California. Rode the freight the ticket cost 2.50 general admission. Followed them for the next 2 years . Thanks, Rob, your voice lit a fire in my soul. Love you brother!

Im 57 an i still get the those fuking goose bumps when i think of those days, the kids now days are really ripping themselves off with their baggy pants music

This album is one of the greatest ever. The guitar tones are unreal. Great recording and production. So well done!!
  • I'm old school, grew up with Metal bands, they just don't quite make music like this anymore, Rob Halford with a voice that's amazing! Long Live Rock And Fkn Roll !!!!
