Boogie Woogie on a Steinway Grand, with a posh orchestra just sitting there twiddling their thumbs, MAGIC!
  • @jimmyjimmy7240
He looked so happily alone. Like "finally, ive been waiting so long to do this." This is what he plays in his free time.

Holly crap ! He definitively knows where middle c is !
  • Jorg Hegemann - what a dude! The orchestra look p*** off and he's just rocking out having a time of it.....

He's just so happy, you can tell he's enjoying it! Makes me happy. :D

Just loved the expression on the lady sitting behind him as she enjoyed his piano playing. Respect from one musician to another.
  • As a classical pianist at a conservatory, but also as a gigging blues musician, this is really special to see. Always nice to see people getting back to what they love! It can be incredibly beneficial to just improvise over a 1/4/5 progression, not only to improve one's classical skills, but also for their soul! Boogie Woogie and Blues is some of the most pure music out there, it just makes you want to dance!

I bet if he'd play that at my funeral, I'd start wiggling in the coffin.

I have been listening to classical music almost exclusively for over thirty years, but there is something about boogie woogie that just grabs me. It's one of my favorite things in the world.
  • I cant stop watching this. This should take two people to play. He plays it solo effortlessly
  • @CubeBizz
His fingers are moving so fast and accurately, damn
  • I am now 70 and vividly remember my dear old mum playing boogie on our piano, the house was ful of music but we moved house and my father sold the only piano in the village ours, still when i hear boogie i think of those happier days than now under lockdown.
  • @jerey2374
One Man, one Piano, does the Boogie Woogie and the whole hall is completly dumbfounded. It dissolves every single instrument.
  • @burningisis
All boogie woogie pianists look just so HAPPY to play boogie woogie. There's this bounce to it that you just cant help but bounce along.
  • This is the result of a man... Who has been perfecting his skills for years... FOR YEARS!!!. And this clip shows only ONE of MANY performances he has made through all these years! This Boogie Man is a living legend in my opinion!
  • @mnicholson66
What I like about watching this video is how the two people right behind him react. The Asian lady looks all full of joy while the dude next to her is like, "So he can play the piano. Big deal."
  • I love how his full body is involved in the performance... probably the most enjoyable piece he’d play that night! Good to see classical performers opened to other styles and having so much fun, well done!
  • @JGS123WRPTP
That smile when he knows he's absolutely killing it
  • @rainwater8135
He’s got an amazingly strong left hand to go on with that pattern for over 4 mins. Marvellous
  • @scotttipps8155
The lady smiling at 0:28 is all you need to know about boogie woogie. Jorg was sawing on that Steinway like she was meant to be. Bravo!!!!
