Picking my daughter up from a playdate today, her friend's mom shared with me that she was a former student of Tim's. She said he was a fantastic, caring, well-spoken teacher, and said that many of his students asked when he would run for some kind of office. I love hearing him confirm that here. It's so refreshing to hear HONESTY--what you see is what you get. This is him all the time, no putting on an act. Tim Walz is like the Mr. Rogers of politics. He'll go after his opponents, but with joy and compassion as his motive, without hate in his heart. And we Minnesotans love him for it. Thank you Governor Walz! 💙

I’m not even going to lie, he wasn’t my first pick because I didn’t know who he was but man, I am glad she chose him. After seeing this rally I think we just watched the first rally of the next President and Vice President of the United States.

A friend from work just told me she had "Mr. Walz" for a social studies teacher in 9th grade! She said he was a great teacher and even years later after he had been congressman for several terms she ran into him at the state fair and he remembered her.

What a ticket! Walz can even get away with the odd Dad joke - mind you the "if Vance can be bothered to get off his couch" crack was class.

This Walz is on FIREEEEEEE 🔥 Democrats needed someone who isn’t afraid to speak his mind and do the “dirty work”. What a charming brilliant man!

WOW! I never knew Governor Walz, so I started my search to find out everything I could. And, then, I listened to his speech, and I understood why he was chosen to be the Vice Presidential candidate. I loved what he had to say! The people of Philadelphia loved him, and America will love him! I'm on board! BUILD A BETTER AMERICA. VOTE BLUE!

As a Canadian that watched in fear for 4 years as Trump plowed his way through everything that America stood for, and now another 3 1/2 years of fear for the potential of what was to come, I can say, I knew nothing of this man but watching this speech has given me HOPE. Hope that America can get past this nightmare and get back to being respected in the world. Biden paved the way and these two are about to drive a MAC TRUCK down Maga lane

I knew nothing about Walz before seeing this speech. After hearing it, it's clear that Harris made the right choice. Walz has the right values and expresses himself with eloquence and passion.

I can wholeheartedly say that the only people that ever made me feel like someone believed in me were my public school teachers.
