Mo'Nique joins Shannon Sharpe at Club Shay Shay for a candid and uproarious conversation. First, Mo'Nique delves into the heated moment when Skip Bayless told Shannon to "put his glasses back on," setting the tone with her bluntness and brutal honesty for a rollercoaster of an episode. Then, Mo'Nique shares poignant memories of her upbringing in Baltimore, drawing inspiration from the Jackson 5 and seeing a young Oprah’s local daytime TV show. The revelations keep coming as she discusses Katt Williams' Club Shay Shay appearance, shedding light on the nature of truths that the public finds surprising. Mo'Nique then explains why the public's response to her actions differed significantly from the reception Taraji P. Henson received when they both voiced their concerns about Hollywood’s financial disparities. Mo'Nique fearlessly confronts the industry challenges she's faced, including the complex dynamics with heavyweights like Oprah, Tyler Perry, and Kevin Hart. Amidst stories of her undeniable talent, Mo'Nique reveals hilarious anecdotes like being the "best Popeyes drive-through worker of all time" and how her comedy career was sparked by a dare from her brother. She shares uproarious tales from her experiences on the road with The Queens of Comedy and The Kings of Comedy. Mo'Nique offers an insider's perspective of those legendary tours with her signature humor and charm. With raw honesty, she recounts deeply personal experiences, from confronting her past family trauma to the tumultuous journey of settling her lawsuit with Netflix. Mo'Nique weighs in on Shaq's assertion that men shouldn't open up emotionally to women. Known for her unapologetic and insightful perspective, Mo'Nique delves into the nuances of gender dynamics, challenging societal norms with her trademark humor and wisdom. This episode is a rollercoaster of emotions, unfiltered truths, and, of course, hearty laughs. Don't miss the wisdom, wit, and wild tales shared by the legendary Mo'Nique on Club Shay Shay.

Love how she seamlessly transitions from serious Monique to funny Mo'nique and back. One of a kind.
  • I thought Katt Williams interview was Powerful; but Mo’Nique’s was Dynamic! Loved her transparency, Integrity and Truth! So proud of her courage EXPOSING those in the elite clique who are perceived to be in power and untouchable! Kudos to her and “fraternal twin”, Katt Williams! ❤👏🏽👆🏽
  • The reason why Hollywood is saying she's difficult to work with is bc she STANDS ten toes down. She's not compromising her soul for a check!! Nothing but love Aunty Mo!

That woman’s performance in “Precious” was phenomenal. I was truly terrified of her.

I see a lot of people saying Club Shay Shay messy because of Katt Williams and Mo’Nique’s interviews but I think we should actually stop calling people speaking up and speaking out against professional mistreatment they’ve faced messy. It’s not messy, it’s necessary.

Why aren't we talking about just how articulate and eloquent Monique is? She is a good listener and waits for her turn to speak. Rarely interrupts the host and just makes conversations easy. Its rare these days.

After watching this, Mo’Nique gained me as a fan. She spoke so eloquently, never got angry, and never bashed anyone. It’s takes a strong person that has been through so much and treated unfairly to sit there and speak without tearing the other person down. In today’s world, it seems like people don’t like the truth and she speaks nothing but honesty. It’s crazy how people bash Mo’Nique about having her husband around, especially with how the industry has been exposed as of lately. When a man and woman get married, they become one! Once Wendy Williams was divorced from her husband, people were able to take advantage of her, and look at the state she is in now. People will judge whether you do right or wrong. Respect to Mo’Nique for always living in her truth🙏🏽 God called us to stand out and not to confirm to the world.

Her voice is just as soothing as Morgan Freeman. Mo could narrate documentaries. 😊
  • @IkeOkpobiri
So we all just ignore how luxurious Mo’Nique’s hair looks!!!!
  • @tamszn
the way she speaks so highly of her husband and their relationship is so admirable
  • This woman emits total class. I am proud for her that she has stood her ground to demand respect. Bravo
  • @cynderzzz82
Mo was the first time I saw a woman, as a chubby kid in the 90s, loving herself and with an irrevocable level of respect for herself that still inspires me today. Thank you Mo
  • @johnezra4645
Club Sha Sha the only show that can drop a 3 hour interview and I watch EVERY SECOND.
  • @JiltedLover8203
This conversation made me feel like a kid in the 90's trying to listen to the grown folks talk!😂
  • @heavymetalrehab
First off, I'm a white woman that lives in the sticks on 40 acres. I went away to college at 18 because I grew up in the same area that I currently live. I wanted to see people that were different than me. I got sick of looking at white farmers everyday and wanted to see what else and who else was out there. That was important to me. Eventually, I did move back to the same area to be close to family and raise my daughter. With having said all of that, up until I saw Katt's interview, I hadn't realized how blissfully unaware I was that these types of things are still a large part of the American culture, and it makes me sad. I knew that certain people existed that didn't see equality like everyone should, however I had no idea that entire organizations and societal constructs, still had such a sickening and unfair hierarchy. Mo'Nique seems like a beautiful woman, both inside and out, and for what it is worth, I feel that irregardless of someone's race, that she is someone that we as woman can look up to and strive to be like. Not only is she fierce, but she is also strong, comfortable in her own skin, and absolutely knows her worth. I admire all of this in her, and I pray that all of these other people that have taken her for granted will open their eyes and see her worth.
  • I love how highly she speaks of her husband. In a world full of city girls its refreshing.
