Newly Hived Bees Marching Inside Their New Home

Published 2020-04-19
On the tenth anniversary of getting my first bees, I picked up a colony of bees from a family that was moving out-of-state. Transporting thousands of bees inside a station wagon is always a bit nerve-wracking. We left the bees wrapped up for the night, and then I set up their new hive in the morning. It was initially a bit chaotic, but they soon settled down. In this video, the bees tgat has settled on our custom-built transport box-lids are very obligingly marching into their new home. Thanks ladies! I hope you enjoy living in my garden.
