X-Men: The Ravages of Apocalypse is an action first-person shooter video game developed by Zero Gravity Entertainment, and published by WizardWorks and MacSoft, originally released in December 1997. Using Quake 1's engine, it was the first commercially released total conversion mod of a high-profile property. It features several cyborg versions of characters from the highly famous comic series X-Men, being bathed with fully 3D graphics, fitting soundtrack and environments. Players take on the role of a cyborg assassin who is working for Magneto, an opposing figure to the mutant tyrant Apocalypse. The player’s mission is to infiltrate Apocalypse’s fortress and destroy his army of cyborg clones, which are based on the captured X-Men. The player must use various weapons and gadgets to fight the clones and their superpowers, and face Apocalypse and Mister Sinister in the final battle. The player can also interact with Gateway, a mutant who can create portals to different places, which can either be helpful or harmful.

The game is looking quite old, but as playable as Quake 😄 And in HD!

This feels like the Gunman Chronicles of Quake.

Dang, 20 seconds in and you can already tell the game isn't "modern audience" friendly lmao
  • Hi, I am trying to make a video and have no footage of this game. Would you mind if I used some of yours? In return, I'd happily give your channel a mention!
