Help Me - Joni cover on fretless bass

I'm just a beginner on bass - but I built this fretless from odd parts I had around. I think it sounds pretty good. Wish I could learn to stop pulling ugly expressions when I'm playing. Being new to bass, I'm concentrating hard to try and hit the right notes in the right place. haha
