Musician Reacts to Welcome to the Internet - Bo Burnham

  • "Such a happy little tune for such misery" is a pretty accurate definition of the Internet in my opinion
  • @patchesm
“I feel like by the end of this song, Bo’s gonna try to make me depressed about life” Yeah give him about 8 more seconds
  • @Iso20227
I love how he perfectly describes the internet in a happy way, but very obviously evil. Bo Burnham is amazing at his job.
  • @mistingwolf
Fun fact: there are indeed metal covers of this song on the internet. It is the internet after all!
  • It took a minute and 38 seconds for Bo to put you in a state of existential dread..... Gosh, he's talented XD
  • @TheRealHusker
Bo Burnham: Breaths This guy: Pauses "Now we got him breathing here"
  • There is a huge deal of irony in a 15 minute reaction video (of dozens if not hundreds of such videos) to a 4 minute music video about the perils and time-wasteage of the internet..... and that I just watched it.
  • Bo has two moods - lol. We can relate to this together - hahahah life is not worth living.
  • I love how a reactor who has never seen this video manages to pause at every key moment.
  • Sometimes I like the internet other times it makes me wish I lived in an amish paradise.
  • @LukeZwarteVacht
sometimes when telling stories about my childhood, I have to remind everyone that we didn't have the internet until I was a preteen
  • @darthdead97
i would love to see this song animated as the main song from a "Disney-Renaissance"-Era Villain. it goes a bit the way of "my friends from the other side"
  • I love how he uses the lighting to make himself look like he has evil red eyes, Truly disturbing, theres a lot of stuff I would like to go into detail and pick apart his lyrics, but that is a cool little detail he added, makes him look very evil.
  • I love the craziness of the ending. It represents the hole you’ve fallen down as soon as you get addicted to the internet.
  • @alphawolf8059
I wasn't old enough to not have the internet around as a kid but thankfully I grew up poor
  • Of the reactions to this song that I've seen, I think you and Knox Hill have the best understanding of the song, however I'd go one step further and suggest that as he reaches the "evil" part towards the end, and says the apathy and tradegy lines again and then laughs, in my opinion makes it sound like he, as the Internet, is proud of what he's caused.
  • Absolutely loved this when it came out. I was born in 2003 which was around the time internet started to begin to thrive 😂 all I’ve learned is that the world is a horrible and to stay off the internet most of the time 😂😂
  • @reinbew794
The fact that he talks to YOU, the viewer the entire song is even scarier.
  • @pillowvibes
just a silly correction bc I happened to notice it, voyeurism is watching, exhibitionism is displaying yourself for people to see. also both of these things are done with consent, since it’s apart of kink and not, yknow, an actual crime.
