We already visited the "Little Italy", NYC you're probably most familiar with, but have you heard of Arthur Ave? This neighborhood in the Bronx claims to be the "REAL" Little Italy in NYC, so of course, we had to check it out for ourselves. Mozzarella shops, cannoli, Italian grocery shopping, coffee, bakeries, salami tasting and eating at Enzo's- what do you think? Is this an authentic Italian experience in the USA?

  • You really did a great service to yourselves, your subscribers, and Arthur Ave., by going there and producing this video. Outside of Italy, there's no other place like it.
  • @itssammierose
I literally started crying when he gave you the coffee beans as a gift. What a gift to have such a community to belong to.
  • I'm an Italian-American from Brooklyn NY, now living in California. We had cousins in the Bronx and would go to Arthur Avenue when we visit them, This was my favorite video so far from you two. Was so great to see you both enjoy it so much. Made me miss New York and all of those wonderfully, gracious Italians.
  • As a Bronx, Arthur Avenue is one of the most authentic you will get. It’s one of the last real neighborhoods that you will see!! Thanks for visiting one of our best kept secrets here in the Bronx!

As a 59 year old Bronx Boy, I'm sooooo thrilled you two found Author Ave... The smiles on your faces tell the story. Bronx Love guyz 😎😜😎🥰
  • @ALF_81.
I used to work on Arthur avenue. At casa della mozzarella for a good 17 years. You guys met my friend Joe and Elvis at the coffee place in the market. I’m glad you guys enjoyed👍🏻 Siete bravissimi.
  • When you find like hearted people you’ve found family. Just as Alessio said, “home”. I was moved to tears at the kindness, comradery and generosity of the people. 💝
  • Yes! This is what America should be about all these communities and cultures thriving together. Gosh imagine the amazing foods and experiences we could all have and enjoy if instead of drowning it out with chain restaurants and groceries.
  • @gensmr
I can’t stop smiling bc Alessio’s happiness is contagious
  • @sophiac5765
I noticed they seemed friendlier here letting you film at least in the Italian delis. It is so lovely you fully embrace Alessio's culture and go on these journeys with him, you can see it brings you both joy! I know he does the same for you too being open minded with the American culture and foods ❤❤ you guys are the sweetest. Thank you for sharing your trips with us 😊
  • My Grandfather was born 6 months after his mom arrived in America. (Southwestern Italian Coast) Spent his whole life in New York. He always swore to me that the old world people never ate in Manhattan's Little Italy. it was all in the Bronx. Looks like many years later it still holds true.
  • Ok, my wife are headed to NYC next week (from Nashville) and after watching this, I have changed our plans completely. This is the most amazing people and community I've seen and HAVE to experience it. Thank you two SO much for the insight ! This was an incredible video that gave the true feel of Arthur Ave.
  • @penelopepalm
This is by far your best video. Seeing Alessio is happy and at his most comfortable is a joy.
  • Allesio looks so peaceful like he has been transported home, and Jesse looks so happy for him and to be included on the trip home with him. I’m so glad you both know where to go now when Allesio gets a little homesick for the foods of his homeland!
  • @NotContinuum
I love seeing people enjoy themselves. Especially when they have this kid on Christmas look on their faces. It's just amazing to see.
  • Perfect capture of Arthur Ave!! Everyone there is so welcoming and generous, no matter where you are from!
  • Yup, Brazil has Italians too! An estimated 32 million descendants in Brazil, making them the largest number of people with Italian ancestry outside Italy (they also have the most people with Japanese ancestry outside Japan)! With the most populous city with Italian ancestry being São Paulo. Arthur Ave in The Bronx really is a wholesome area with its charm, though I don't take an Uber there but rather the Metro-North Railroad to Fordham and then walk. Trains are the preferred mode of transport in the NY metro, and taking Metro-North gives me an excuse to take in the beauty of Grand Central Terminal (and soon, the Long Island Railroad will open in Grand Central too). That "IIIIT'S JOHNNY!" picture on the door at 3:15 is the chef's kiss.
  • @tracys694
My heart is happy just watching you two enjoy Arthur Ave. ❤ It is not only the real Italian NYC but one of the few real old school ‘neighborhoods’ left in the boroughs. I know Manhattan is more fun, but you’ll never get a better group of people looking out for you than the Bronx.
  • @PresMonroe
Wow … you almost brought me to tears. I grew up in the Bronx in late 1950s. My mom used to drag me to the Italian stores. Salami hanging from ceiling. Sawdust on the floor. Amazing aromas. Ravioli and pasta. A million memories. Arthur Ave is pretty much what is left. So happy you 2 got to enjoy it !!!! God Bless you both.
  • @Elizabeth-rh1hl
Italians are so warm and friendly. Beautiful people. Beautiful hearts. Delicious food.
