That is some insane quality picture for 2004
  • One of the best games in Big Ben's rookie career and ended up going 15-1. Before losing to the Patriots in a blowout in the AFC Championship
  • DAMN Ben looks young. I remember watching this game live and it was possibly just as sweet as both Superbowls we won in the Big Ben era. I remember being with several friends and having beers, and by the end of the night we were SCREAMING at the TV ripping apart Tom Brady and just laughing and having a blast. Every time Brady would get sacked or pressured they would cut the cameras to his face and he was visibly shaken and upset... and we loved every second of it. The Pats were the "big bad Boogyman" back then and to end their winning streak was just magnificent. They would come back and demolish us for the AFC game, but we got right back up after a 15-1 season and won the next Superbowl. So all was well in Blitzburgh from 2004-2006
  • The Steelers have some absolutely LEGENDARY defenses! And this certainly is one of the best defenses in league history!

I was a senior in high school during this season. The Steelers fans went insane after this game.
  • Dick LeBeau’s exotic zone defense scheme came back with vengeance and befuddled a lot of teams in 2004 finishing first in overall defense. Credit where credit is due with the constant pressure on the Patriots protection schemes.
  • This game literally looks like it was played yesterday, big shout out to this channel for the restoration work and the video quality!
  • I remember this game like it was yesterday... felt like a million bucks after this game.

I get so nostalgic when I watch these old games. I LOVED this Steelers team, so much incredible talent and just an all around good group of guys. How many future Hall of Famers here? Tons. Btw, hey Steelers fans, remember when we could get a two-touchdown lead and hold it? Man, good times.
  • for ben to start his career with 14 straight wins, including his playoff debut against the jets, is an unbreakable record. yeah he had a stout defense and a fantastic run game, but winning 14 straight is very difficult, let alone for a rookie QB that wasn’t even the week 1 starter. that record will never be broken, and i’m not sure if any other rookie QB will come close ever again.
  • Hell of a game for Joey Porter and we just drafted his son Joey Porter Jr tonight!!!!
  • @nerdskeeskee
Man I miss seeing steelers score touchdowns on the Offense had to come back here and watch these old games!

This was the game where Ben Roethlisberger didn’t need to do too much. He had a great defense behind him and a great duo at RB in Bettis and Staley. Overall, it’s a great game to a hall of fame career

Absolutely phenomenal video quality! Joey Porter was a beast this game!
  • Ben comes out and beats Brady in the first meeting of Ben Steelers vs Brady Pats. Little did we know of the constant ass-whoopings Brady would give the Ben led Steelers for the next 16-17 years.

Ahhh, the good old days. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Thanks for the memories!❤

I'm a diehard Steelers fan (since the 70s) and I cried on part-2 of that game. But following year, SB50 was sweet 😋

ahh the start of the Tom Brady Ben Roethlisberger rivalry, but man Rookie Big Ben, what a season he had, that was just remarkable and a incredible Pittsburgh Steelers defense that was too
