These two men were perfect together. It was very sad, and extremely unfortunate that Troy Gentry had to pass over at such a young age. I know how much this had to impact Troy's family. I am positive that Troy Gentry was a very special person. As a totally disabled veteran, I just wanted to say thank you for the unwavering support of our United States Military.

Still raises my hairs, when I hear Troy sing. You’ll always be missed.
-
Well maybe later, Me and ol' T- Roy will show you around OUR TOWN R.i.P buddy 1967 - 2017
-
Miss you T-ROY all the great shows we played !!!
-
I also am a member of the Lord's church. Hallelujah my brothers in Christ
-
"Come Sunday morning at the Church of Christ". RIP Mr Gentry.
-
A wise man once said " A heart is measured not by how much you love but how much you are loved by others." Much loved Troy
-
This song came out just as I was finishing my dream of a 'cross-country bicycle ride in 2002. I passed through so many small towns with genuinely friendly people, who would invite you to have a meal in their home, camp on their back lawn, or help you if you broke down on the road. This song reminds me of those places. It's not called the "heartland" for nothing.
-
My heart goes out to Troy Gentry' family, friends and fans today as we mourn the lost of his death. Rest in Peace Troy in Jesus Name I Pray, AMEN !!!
-
These guys don't get near as much credit as they deserve. They haven't made one bad song before
-
This song is like a hymnal for us country folks. God, family, country. It's the foundation of our country from the very beginning of it.
-
This song is still so very relevant to so many of us who grew up in these communities with Farms and Textile/Wood/Grain etc..Mills around us, sure does take me back to those days to hear this song. They closed down several Mills in our town also and one actually did sound off the 12 o' clock whistle, for a while, that meant Lunchtime to everyone within earshot of that whistle, Ol Grandpa sure would be fired up by this song, gets ya right there in the Heart.
-
"...it's where they'll put me in the ground. This my town!"--RIP Troy Gentry.
-
I grew up absolutely obsessed with these guys. They were my first concert and my first real music love. Listening to their music really helps heal the hurt that T-Roy's tragedy. Love you MG.
