I'm a Brazilian fan of the channel and, since November 23, I'm driving an electric BYD. First electric car and, after 10,000 km, I don't know what my next car is going to be. All I know, It's going to be another electric one.
  • @williamclark6466
Woohoo! I am so excited to be back online and able to get my fix of Transport Evolved. You people ROCK!
  • @tetchuma
As for GM… it’s as though spending decades lobbying AGAINST EV’s had had negative consequences… shocker
  • Another great show, thanks. Bummer about the in wheel motors for Aptera, but get it made and out the door and then trade it in for all wheel drive when that happens. Looking forward to getting mine.
  • @bababoy91
Not saying Aptera is just taking us for a ride but the changes and amount of time this is taking to come to market makes me suspicious of this company.
  • @w0ttheh3ll
Regarding Aptera, such a major design change at this late stage is a big red flag. Business-wise, It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to plan on delivering "launch edition" vehicles with conventional motors and switch to hub motors later. They are essentially two different cars at that point, the cost of re-design and changing the manufacturing lines would be huge.
  • @mikenovak5226
Aptera has been teasing people for years. Don't think they will ever sell a car, now set there prices around the same as a Tesla model 3 with 10 year old teck. Good luck with that.
  • @simgraves464
Thank you for dressing so professionally in your videos. This shows such respect for your viewers. I wish that many more Youtubers had your class! Growing up in the South, I was taught that good manners is simply being considerate toward others. 🙏
  • @kensmith5694
Car makers need to keep it simple and focus on making EVs that will always work. The latest features and the 0-60 times don't matter if the reputation is that you can't count on them to work. I expect I will buy a Rivian R3 when they are on the market. I don't really like the look of them but I think it is practical for what I need.
  • @brianscott9749
Not thrilled about the Aptera news. I want them to succeed - but - this news doesn’t look good (for the reason you stated).
  • @andders2477
Aptera: that must postpone the release a lot; a lot of testing and design must be starting again.
  • @jcfallows
Living in the UK I wish the governments would stop flip flopping policies. No policy should be reversed unless there is actual harm to the economy being done just because the government has changed. I wonder how many people could actually give up being a car owner if they really thought about it. Far too many cars no matter how they are powered.
  • @martinutr
So GM stopped making the Bolt saying they would make them elsewhere, and now elsewhere isn’t going to make them either. What a sad state of affairs!
  • @uaalien
Aptera saddens me deeply. It used to remind me of the early Tesla and not it’s becoming more and more like Nicola Motors. They keep posting videos about every new bolt they make, but the vehicle if still far from production. It also feels like they are loosing momentum after years of promises.
  • @jeraldgooch6438
As others said 1. TEN is a weekly high point 2. You folks rock 3. Your professional appearance and attitude are much appreciated Just tho these points should be reiterated. Thanks.
  • @stedavid13
Has there ever been a successful vehicle that used in-wheel motors? Anytime I've seen them mentioned it seems like they don't work out.
  • @krslavin
Thank you for all you do. Why does YouTube select ICE car ads for me to watch when I only subscribe to EV-centric channels like this one?
  • @davwill124
and a note on the losses on BEVS, please note that every new vehicle starts out having to pay back all of the pre production costs to get the vehicle to market, which tends to mean that OEMs usually start off with the higher priced versions for sell, since they can pay back the sunk costs in the vehicle (and its each vehicle sold has to pay back those sunk costs till they are paid for). and this applies to any type of vehicle. BEV, or ICEV, they all do this. and the cost of tweaks , refreshes, and updates, have the same payback per each vehicle. i guess the OEMs were surprised when the BEV price broke out, and prices started to go down. and they were really not expecting Tesla to cut it prices as much as they did
  • @canis9178
Rivian's R3X looks so sexy and has great specs. I want one!
