  • Eddie once said that he realised he couldn't out-train his competitors - Brian and Thor were working super hard too - but he could put more effort than them into his recovery. Smart move.
  • @BubbIegum
Lots of people only see Eddie as a clowny guy, but forgoet where the guy started and how determined he is And at his peak, that was the most insane static strength ive ever witnessed
  • @raisinmancereal
I wish this was a longer video. I can’t get enough of watching two amazing people just talking about being the best they can be. Thanks for sharing Mitch and always big love to the beast.
  • @TheGoldendude12
Very serious advice from Eddie here. If we talking about strongman mentality Eddie is your guy
  • @SMac86
So cool to see Eddie passing on his experience to the next generation. I wonder what his power bill is a month. 😂 Great video!
  • @Betoni
Eddie is not lying about the sleep aspect. Even without a cold plunging, just spending like good 15 - 30 minutes in hot ass sauna and then just showering and washing yourself afterwards. The relaxed feeling you have afterwards is just something else and you sleep so well. At least thats my experience with saunas living my whole life in Finland where sauna is a cultural thing. Also no eletrical sauna beats an og woodfire sauna stove.

Love this. Eddie droppin the knowledge ball and Mitch taking it all in. The more you can take in the easier it is to take away what you think is important.
  • The more I get to seen into Mitch’s life; he’s a phenom. He doesn’t eat like a typical strongman doesn’t recover like a strongman. And just one of the world strongest men to ever exist
  • I would love to see Mitchell doing this for a year and see the results
  • @avs040288
Glad to see Mitch giving it all a go but similarly watching Eddie with a relative newcomer and not pushing things on him, just giving his opinion like a seasoned pro was really great and reminds me that behind Eddies big bollock chat and jokes he’s a real gent and a scholar of the strong man sport just helping to push it forward! Fucking loved this and really didn’t think I would as I thought there would be tension between two of these best of all time. Bravo to both!

If the hot cold helps with sleep, that's good enough reason for an elite athlete to get it. Even if the science isn't there for the physiological part, but just better sleep helps recovery so much. I'm generally skeptical about most things, but as an elite athlete, you really gotta do whatever you need to in order to get that edge. Love the content!
  • And this is one of the reasons why Eddie is one of the greatest strongman competitors ever! The man did everything that one can do to improve performance, recovery, you name it
  • @calebgodard4554
Really really happy to see this video. Thank you for sharing!

Eddie is a great dude. I love that guy. Very down to earth. Easy to talk to.
  • @RideWithJosh696
Cool to see someone learn and get excited about something like this. Shows you’re willing to learn abd see you’re missing on certain things. Awesome to see.

This channel is becoming excellent. Thanks to your production team, your doing good.
  • @HumanMechanism
Mitch with hyperbaric-boosted O2 levels and hot/cold therapy in season would be a force. Off season, like now tho, it could hurt his intended hypertrophy on his upper body.
  • @the3doorking293
Superb content as always AND Very educational too.. especially looking further than most have regarding recovery. Eddie has always done this, EVEN down to filtering his tap water for drinking. Every little helps.. I do think it does to be honest. Hat off to you for exploring this part of the strong man scene 👏👏👍👍
  • @nuagor
Eddie being humble and not overstating stuff; just explaining what's worked and inviting Mitch to think about it - pretty cool.
  • I give so much respect to Eddie, because he was willing to die to win world, strongest man. He was going up against prime, Brian and Thor. He literally had to do some thing that most men could never do.
