Love the transition between Devi not liking her culture at Ganesh puja to killing it in the dance floor in S4 🎉
  • @otakumore9254
I just loved how they represented their culture with this song and saree

The character development from the first season where she was making fun of the girls doing Indian dancing and now her doing this dance with her cousin whom she used to dislike for "being too Indian" is astronomical Edit: Sorry guys, I meant that the song the girls were dancing to in the first season was bollywood. (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) Edit 2: sorry, for the confusion, I was wrong the girls in the 1st season weren't doing Bollywood, thank you for educating me. Because there is still some debate in the comments whether it's tollywood or kollywood, I will just leave it as "Indian Dancing." Edit 3: Okay I have no idea which one it is, but regardless the point still stands. Th character development from her hating her culture to embracing it is huge.

As a non Indian, I am in awe of Indian culture. The jewels, the music, the style and attire, the DANCING. It’s all incredible 😍👏
  • @ashslay123
Cultural representation of South Asian culture especially (Indian-Tamil) is spot on!
  • How Devi introduced the dance always gets me on the floor « for Pati who thinks I’m a coconut »😂

Love how they brought it full circle from the first season where Devi was embarrassed to see those other Indian girls dancing at Ganesh Puja to loudly and proudly dancing with her cousin in front of everyone to a Tamil song!! One of the best scenes of the season!!
  • I definitely didn't expect this scene😮...and damn she literally has some good character development in this season

as a filipino I truly loved the indian representation in this show, and this episode was my fav❤ this show made me love and appreciate the culture of india more, I will miss this show<3
  • In season one during Ganesha Puja Devi called this type of dancing “dorky.” For her dance proudly at the wedding in front of everyone was amazing growth to see!

You have no idea how much this scene means to me; like the character development of Devi combined with the perfect south indian attire (the golden chain belt and flowers in her hair are both everything and subtle details that really ties her outfit together as south indian to me) and this combined with the use of an actual tamil song, I'm truly impressed
  • this was my favourite scene in season 4~ i love how much devi has grown over the years :')
  • i love how hyped of and proud her friends looked! they were like OKAY DEVI bc no one had seen that side of her
  • The reason this was one of the best scene cuz she was not embarrassed of her culture now and was enjoying it❤😊

"Kamala" was on a talk show and she said she was a professional dancer. She said she had mentioned to producers a # of times that she would do a dance scene on the show. She was very happy she got to do this.

This scene has been on repeat!! Episode 10 was so good!!! ❤
  • As an Indian, I can't tell how happy I am seeing my country's representation! I have been watching this for 3 days now! Can't get over it although I can't understand the song!
  • Im so glad as an Eelam Tamil 🐅🐅 that I finally get to see a eelam tamil actress on screen!! From a minority that suffered a lot during the genocide of tamils in the sri lankan war im so happy that my people are getting these opportunities to represent tamil culture ❤
