That smell thing is true of the entire city really... hot garbage intermixed with perfection.
  • @sidekickchuck

  • @MReadLS
I also remember tons of carts in Chinatown but that was 20 years ago. Love your content!!!

They come out during the San Genaro feast which is held on Mott Street Chris. Chinatown was never known for having food carts, especially on Mott Street. Goes back to when I hung out in the area as a teenager.

All it needed was the sauerkraut and onions πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

There used to be vendors along canal and Lafayette st and centre st. There were also a bunch of vendors on east broadway. But they are all gone. This one vendor on the north side of canal and Bayard had the best lo mein and fried chicken for $2 total back in the day.
  • Chris great tour of china town. Not sure how you get footage . That camera you have is crystal clear. Enjoy your content . will give that food cart a try.
  • I moved out of NYC over ten years ago but there used to be a lot of food carts around bowery and grand.

I would have tried the BBQ pork off that truck! that looked fresh and nice amount of spicy chili oil. I am surprised there are not more carts out, always plenty of trucks and carts out in Flushing, I prefer Flushing. So much good food in Flushing.
  • @Nyu0005
25 years ago, ton of food cart. But they all gone now. Meat sticks vendor mostly flushing now, after 5pm.
