She is so right about steps. Even regular walking for getting in 3000 steps for continuously 3 weeks made a huge difference for me. So walk walk walk

Dr. Dray nails it again. ❤ Water aerobics covers so many of these topics. Working out without pain. Playing in the water like kids. Socialization! Singing if you wish with a group of energetic fun people, which makes your brain work to remember the lyrics. Laughter! People who notice when you miss a day. Wish I’d started when I was younger, but sure love it now. Volunteering is my other love. 😊
  • As an introvert, just the thought of going out for the sole purpose of socializing ages me about 27.5 years! 😅 Love all of your videos! 🫶🏼

“Wrinkles is the sign you made it” Thank you Dr. Dray! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Dr. Dray, i went for a mole check follow up the othrt day and started talking spf with the screening nurse. She suggested i follow a certain doctor on YouTube and started spelling out the name of the channel as I was taking notes. She goes" d, r, d, r" and I shout "dr. Dray?! I follow her religiously already" 😂 You're well known and loved the world over! ❤❤❤

A bit of an unrelated topic: Your videos made me wear sunscreen religiously. I had to fight against a racial attack last Sunday and I wore sunscreen. The slipperiness of the sunscreen on my skin helped me quite some bit to defend myself. It was difficult for the attacker to grab me properly. In short, sunscreen gave me some sort of protection and advantages in self-defence. Thank you so much for helping me to getting into this live-saving habit.

My book club and Bible study group are so enriching for me!

The social isolation statistics were a sobering reminder for me to sign up for sites like Meetup and volunteer. I moved to California last month for an internship and it has been so hard meeting people. It's worth the effort to keep putting myself out there. Thank you dr Dray!

LOVE u have the bravery to call it anti social media! U profit off of it but still recognize the bad in it!❤💖
  • Wow! So shocked at the loneliness and isolation. I haven’t been able to drive for almost 10 years now and it has made me stay at home so much. In the beginning I was bedridden for many years. Now I’ve gotten to the point that I just do not like leaving my home! It’s gotten so bad. I’ve only left my house 3 times this entire year!! 2 times for doctors appointments. I don’t even know how to start.

Good morning Dr Dray! I also get overheated when I sleep, but I can't throw my leg out from under the covers because that's when the monsters get you. At least that is according to all the horror movies I've watched.

Thank you for highlighting the impact of isolation on health. Our bodies are wired for connection (evolutionarily speaking, being in community helped us maintain safety and sense of security). When we lack connection, our nervous systems become overactive, stress hormones are released, and over time our immune systems are depressed, placing us at risk for illness. Positive social interactions are so vital for our health!

I usually don’t leave comments, but I need to tell you how much I appreciate you and your videos! Thanks so much! I really relate to this video since I had anxiety issue earlier this year. As soon as I force myself calling some long lost friends, I felt much better. ❤
  • Thank you again Dr. Dray! It’s incredible how impactful the social aspect truly is. People have an innate need for each other; socializing, and relationships. I’ve been off of social media for about 4 years now, and haven’t missed it. In fact, I’m shocked that I’ve actually been told to check their Facebook page when o ask people what’s going on in their life (you know, to have a conversation). Health is a WHOLEistic approach, we cannot forget that. Thank you for your amazing content!!
  • It was so crystal clear in minute zero of "social media" that all these unregulated addictive schemes would take their toll on us.😵‍💫 Happy Wednesday everyone!🌺
  • Loved this video. I’m a total hermit. This is the push i needed to get me in more social situations. Thank you Dre!

Very impressed with your shining a spotlight on #5 & showing genuine concern for the many people affected by it. I read a heart-breaking story last year about the staggering number of elderly people in the UK who don't have a single person-to-person interaction in an entire week (or was it month?😢) The govt was trying to do something about that with a program of some sort but everybody can help by visiting their isolated parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends, neighbors, former co-workers regularly especially if they're ailing, live alone or in a nursing home or assisted living apt. Also good to contact the activities director at one of these places and ask what you could do to brighten these mostly seniors' day. One told me the residents love to have calendars - with great photos - on the wall to look at, interesting books; one requested a Bible. They did crafts including painting Easter eggs one time so I brought some supplies. Ideally we could visit them for real live interactions and wheeling them outside for some fresh air and some sun to boost their Vitamin D and hopefully the school kids still go and sing Christmas carols like we all did years ago (& that overkill covid restrictions aren't still blocking any of this anywhere) Every little bit we all do will help them and the teens and 20-somethings. And help us.
  • Oof you had me until the socializing part 😂 I have no friends and when I doooo try I find myself exhausted and wanting to go home
