Josef is an absolute genius.. He told Arun he didn't know whether to get Mac or Windows so he ended up getting both lmao
  • @victorjacob1
The problem here is that this is not "Windows" vs Mac. It's this particular Dell computer. There are so many options available at this price point.
  • @True69.
Bro changed the title from 2023 to 2024 💀💀
  • So this is Dell vs Macbook, not Mac vs Windows. Barely talked about the OS, just talked about Dell's laptop vs a Macbook. Like wat about an X1 Carbon, imo those r better than XPS

There's some missing points on your end: 1- upgradability 2- variety of choices 300$-5000$ laptops Also as an engineer it's literally not an option since 80%+ of the software I need isn't even available on Mac. I think it boils down to the person's needs and choice there is no clear winner

The fact that unboxing is a point equal to performance is mind blowing

Did no one notice when Josef snapped his fingers, his shoulder still showed lol
  • Literally watching this on the same XPS 15 from the video. Bought it last September and am very happy with it.

I think you missed an extremely important point here, which is upgradability. I replaced the battery on my 5 year old Dell XPS 15, and it is basically all new. If you are someone who likes some tinkering, you can also upgrade the ram, ssd, wifi card, do repasting and undervolting. I did all that in addition to switching to a linux operating system, and my laptop is performing much better than a new/stock laptop. Edit: Some have pointed out that you can also upgrade on a MacBook, and you are absolutely right! Though for my XPS 15 and other Windows laptops, switching batteries is very simple and I paid about 60€ for a 97Wh battery. Another point is also that you can set the charging limit to say 75% which preserves its life expectancy even more. I am not sure if it is possible on a Mac though.. At the end of the day I think both laptops are amazing, it just depends on what you value more :)

On the security side you’re half right. Yes, Mac is far less susceptible to viruses and other attacks. BUT, once a Mac gets infected it’s an absolute horror show because there are also less tools and far less knowledge on how to remove nasty viruses from Macs. Oh and you should have gone with “a subscribe would be MACnificent” 🤭

13:49 if you hold on the green button that is used to make the screen bigger, it will give you a drop down menu to choose left or right like halfscreens

Beautiful editing Jozef I really enjoy how you use Comic Sans which is definitely my favourite font

You are not testing Mac Vs widows, you are testing Dell Vs Apple

As much as I would like to buy a macbook, for the awesome screen, baterry, sound, optimization it has,the lack of compatibility with apps is in my opinion what makes macbook pretty much useless,I want to be able to use any and every app out there,I am not a person that just sticks to 2 or 3 tools that everyone uses and calls it a day,I need customizability to be able to use apps that were just released and that no one would think of using.

Amazing video and this was very helpful😊

One issue I have with this video is that Arun should have played songs for the speaker tests cause if he only shows a video of him speaking for a speaker test, we would only be able to hear the high and mid range frequency performances of the speakers. In addition to that driver performance, sound detail, and bass etc are very important and to test that playing music would have been way better.

I think repairability should also be an important factor. Apple is soldering SSDs and locking sensors and doing all kinds of shenanigans which make repairs either a nightmare, or so cost prohibitive that buying a replacement becomes a viable option. Perhaps not very important for those who can afford to buy two $1600 laptops, but most consumers don't have that kind of money, and people often tend to go over-budget with laptops because "Its an investment, it will last many years".

I just got the Macbook Air M2 yesterday, and it's one of my best experiences that I ever had with any electronics. One obvious downslide is of course the lack of games that you can play on the Mac ios, but since I already have my gaming laptop it's not that much of an issue :D
