A bit off topic but one thing I wish could be discussed among fans is the difference between the Jedi who follow the light. You had many extremely powerful Jedi who were aligned to the light but few had a strong relationship with the living force. I use “relationship” specifically so it’s not confused with connection. Individuals like Yoda and Mace Windu were deeply aligned to the light but their relationship to the living force was compromised due to their top priority of the Jedi code and/or the republic. Qui Gonn is the biggest example of this but he wasn’t alone. Jedi master Faye, Anya Kuro, Plo Koon, Jon Antilles, Revan and most importantly Luke Skywalker himself. They all had a pure and deep relationship to the force Dark side is a pathway to many abilities just like Sidious said but it’s not only the dark side. The light side has just as much if not more but it takes a level of devotion and patience a lot of individuals don’t have. Many individuals who prioritized the will of the force over anything and let it guide their actions opened themselves to abilities either rare or almost unattainable by most other Jedi. Jedi master faye( Nigh immortality) Qui Gonn Jin( attained Force ghost eventually teaching it to yoda) Nomi Sun Rider( Force light one of the most OP force abilities in the verse) Anya Kuro( Force teleport) And Luke himself knew and mastered all those along with dozens more minus near immortality. Luke even allowed love, attachments, and relationships into his new Jedi order. If they had someone like Qui Gonn as the grandmaster of the order years leading up to order 66 things may have turned out different. Sidious could shroud himself among even the masters but doing it around Qui Gonn sooner or later would have unveiled both him and his plans. Qui Gonn would have most likely intuitively picked up on it or saw visions but the story played out differently. The Jedi’s downfall was not order 66 the Jedi’s downfall was when they prioritized duty, codes, and politics over communing with the living force. The dark side doesn’t always come brandishing a red lightsaber and lightning that can scorch flesh. It can sprout by simply giving your focus and energy into things that you simply ought not to consistently.
  • I think he was correct. After all- the path to evil is often littered with good intentions. But I also believe he was correct in not killing them. And calling them "Gray Jedi". I believe it was a show of mercy.

Yoda was absolutely correct to banish the Pentantium(probably butchered that name.) Jedi their philosophy can be summed up perfectly with this line "The path to hell is lined with good intentions." The dark side corrupts everything it touches, I mean look at Count Dooku he didn't turn to the Sith for greed or a lust for power he just wanted to make a less corrupt government and it totally corrupted him until he became even more corrupt than the government he was opposing, I imagine that's how dangerous Pentantium's philosophy is.

darth bane followed Potentium, he didn't call it that but he didn't believe in any dark or light side, just the force and how you control it to your will.
  • @timwhite5562
I heard it was because they pranked him by dismantling his cruiser and then completely rebuilding it in his office. To be honest, their belief sounds like it makes more sense than the Jedi council.

No power is inherently good or evil it is about the individual useing it the power itself is indifferent its just there for people to use power itself is a manifestation of your intent
  • @cheekibreeki5434
That means that they prolly still out there after order 66 and outlived the jedi
  • Is Yaddle wearing a Horde symbol from World of Warcraft on her necklace?
  • Pentantium mainly means "Lurkworm of the Force" they could be called as undecided force users or the Yin/Yan users of the force.
  • @ghostface4404
he was incorrect. but, there were flaws in the ideology. I believe that this group reached a cornerstone but it needed more polishing.
  • @lordmaul3
Sounds like they had the philosophy that Force Abilities/Powers weren't inherently good or evil, it's how the person using them. This is a similar philosophy Kyle Katarn had.
  • @richietribe9487
That philosophy sounds like what that Acolyte writer lady is trying to preach
  • The truth is it is neither no light nor dark but also light and dark at the same time it is like how some things happen but don't happen at the same time
  • @GGBlaster
Say… could The Acolyte be a kind of retcon of Potentium? Just my shower thoughts
  • @robertagu5533
This sounds more like what the Ancient Jedi thought. An this faction sounds like they was trying to perfect it not just stagnate like the Orthodox Jedi.. an the Sith I agree woulda HATED them... perhaps even MORE had this faction ACTUALLY made it working...a huge issue with both factions is that they both think THEY ONLY got it right.. an probably 1 the reasons the Force itself elected to LITERALLY have both Factions EXTERMINATED. This is why I totally think "Grey" Jedi not only exist BUT are actually the STRONGEST Force users.. trying to walk the middle ground like they Ancient Ancestors an know that THEY are responsible for their own actions an EVERY ability, Force Lightning an Force Heal, or Push alike are no more tools then their Sabers, Starship or a good Blaster.. always thought this is where the Jedi started seriously messing up
