Does anyone know what model of American Lock this is? I bought it from an army surplus store.

    I have a couple of those. 17 is a Master Lock keyway. It's not restricted.

    I have one as well. Beautiful lock for sure... As for the model it is an ASL40N The keyway is restricted reverse keyway for US Military.

    That rivet head can be drilled out easily & the normal screw, and nut used in the 1100 series drops right in, making it a replaceable core.

    Nice vid...sad as I used to work as gov. contractor and this style of padlock was quite common. Getting old and forgetful.
  • Me being in the military I can say that those locks are designed not to be able to remove the core for security reasons.
