Join me, Ph.D. Antiques Appraiser Dr. Lori, and #watch as I go #shopping at a thrift store in Orlando, FL uncovering lots of plates & dishes. Don't miss how to spot Fiestaware and English made ceramics like Johnson Bros. by their patterns. I'll show you how to value them for resell too. I also found Lenox plates. Plus, I compare Pfaltzgraff plates from different time periods using their marks. Do you know which pieces are older? I reveal the answer in this video!

As I talk about Syracuse china, I'll show you how to tell a more valuable piece of china by its color. No marks needed. It's so easy to do when shopping at the thrift store or when cleaning out an estate. I'll show you how to do it all.

You are a PHD course in USING YOUR EYES as a thrifter. THE BEST. I plan to make a pot of tea, put the cat on my lap and watch at least one of your thrifting expeditions daily.

Thanks to you Dr. Lori I took a chance on a $2.99 painting at Goodwill. Turned out to be by artist Aiko Cios and still had her business card attached on back!

  • I’ve noticed that some thrift stores tape stacks of like dishes together, so you can’t look at them closely and their marks are frequently covered.
  • I always gravitate to dishes and glass so I've really enjoyed our shopping trips together so nice to learn new things 😊 thanks
  • I found what I think to be a Murano clear, green and white striped vase at the Goodwill the other day for $25. I've probably been duped but that's okay, I really like it. Thank you Dr. Lori❀
